  1. Yeah. It's finally up. Start your download folks, we got a beta to play. Just 18 hours and 15 minutes away from the time of this postin'.
  2. I saw you in beta 3 Yaein. You should be fine. This is for the people who haven't gotten beta invites in the past, I believe. At least if you're a PC player. You might be looking for a code if you play on the PS3.
  3. Anyway. Back to the matter at hand. I wouldn't mind jumping the proverbial ship onto a lower populated server. I thought Gilgamesh would be the home to the Non-Legacy RP community, but with how OVERWHELMINGLY populated that particular server is compared to literally every other Non-Legacy server, it might be in the 'Gilgamesh Roleplay Communities' best interest to perhaps find another home BEFORE Phase 4 / Open Beta / Head start begins.
  4. Not to be rude, but for the hundredth time the reason why people aren't automatically rolling on Balmung is that we don't want to play on a Legacy server. Accept that fact. That's the only reason why we'd want to pick a Non-Legacy alternative. What else could it possibly be? Stop trying to jam it down our throats. We know how WONDERFUL AND GREAT Balmung is.
  5. http://forum.square-enix.com/ARR-Test/threads/94373-Experience-the-Epic-of-Gilgamesh-the-fresh-perky-new-RP-server. Is the only real concern I have. Good gracious are the people on the beta forums a bunch of assholes.
  6. Yes. One Roleplay community. I understand all that, and as noble as that sounds the ways you seem to try to go about this is by: Making the opposition to your single server look as unattractive as possible and hope that it just disappears under the weight of obscurity. That way everyone hops ship to Balmung for Roleplay, right? I may sound overly pessimistic, but to a good number of people putting A LOT of effort into advertising the RPC to bring new members in, while trying to help Gilgamesh grow into the strong, community backed server Balmung is... it's how it seems. All we want is to be seen as equals. That's all.
  7. Silly me. I just tried to make our communities be seen as equals. I should remember that we really aren't. "All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others." Thanks for the clarification.
  8. Legacy and Non-Legacy are labels that SE uses. We've designated these servers as primary and secondary from the very beginning when we announced that we were going to hold a poll to choose the secondary server. Fair enough. Alothia's very well written "Welcome to the RPC" post on the frontpage though seems to label the servers as "Legacy" and "Non-Legacy" though. Might cause some confusion. I don't know, I just feel as someone who's trying to start up the MUCH smaller Gilgamesh community, that these derogatory server designations [ Literally feeling like a SECOND class citizen ], only hurts what we're trying to grow into something great. Might just be me though.
  9. Again with the 'Primary' and 'Secondary'. I thought it was decided they'd be labeled as 'Legacy' and 'Non-Legacy'.
  10. Feel free to toss me some Pearls, I'll be more than willing to pass them out during the last bit of Phase 3 and of course Phase 4 when that finally comes around.
  11. I. Basic Info Characters: Aiden Kossori [ Hyur Midlander ] Primary character: Aiden Kossori Primary RP linkshell: Radiant Echelon | Limitless Sky Linkshells: Radiant Echelon | Limitless Sky | Coalition OOC II. RP Style Amount of RP (light, medium, heavy): Light to Medium. I'll primarily stay in character, when using the Roleplay Linkshell, but with members of my Free Company and close friends, I might slip to more casual-lighthearted Roleplay. Views on RP combat and injuries: All about injuries. Views on IC romance: Interaction between people shouldn't limit romance. Views on non-romantic RP (family ties, etc): A big fan of it. I consider the members of my Free Company my brothers. Views on lore: I'm a Lore Junkie, definitely will have to do a bit of reading. Views on chat functions (/say, /linkshell, etc): Hm. I'll have to think this one over. I like to think /say works as a local roleplay tool. Where /linkshell should be used as more of a communication tool between people near and/or far. I like to think Linkpearls are like handsfree earpieces you pop into your inner ear to 'hear' people you otherwise couldn't due to distance. That's how I thought of them in FFXI, though with the ability to hold 8 Linkpearls.. I think it'd be hard to fit all of them in your ears! III. Other Info Country: USA Timezone: EST Contact info: Send me a /tell, PM me on the site. Ask for my Skype. Free Company - Radiant Echelon: The Free Company I lead comprised of close friends all with roleplaying backgrounds. Always looking for new members and to expand. In the beta it is under the banner of the Twin Adders, though come release the Free Company will be under the banner of the Immortal Flame.
  12. I'm close to always online [at least idle] during these beta phases, so toss me a whisper and a linkpearl when it's all settled. In game name: Aiden Kossori
  13. That is a very good initial start Rock, I might also suggest maybe an IC Linkshell for RP when not around physically. It can help for those that want a little rp fix while leveling. I think both ideas are good ones. Never a bad thing to have more options. As for names hmm. The break room? Lol I like both ideas myself, now what to name them, and can a person have two linkshells? I mean if one of you guys wants to start one of these go right ahead you know? You can have multiple Linkshells, like up to six maybe? Maybe more? I had one for my Guild and had one for another group I frequently partied with. They just act like chat channels, really. I'd wear my RPC Linkshell proud right next to my Free Companies Linkshell for sure.
