Now, being in Australia I can tell you that staying up long enough to do anything on a server like Balmung or Gilgamesh takes its toll. We also have latency issues with NA servers, so for us it's Tonberry or bust. What's even harder is finding roleplayers on Tonberry, but don't fear, Tonberry Roleplayers is here. No really, we've been here a good half a year now. We're looking to expand our horizons and bring in RPers all over Tonberry, even if you've only done one off RP or are unsure about it. We can and will help you along learning. We keep our character bios on Trello, and we're actively helping out people with writing up their backstories and working out the complications. Heya, welcome! I'm really new too, and since I'm on Tonberry I have to mostly write RPs here on the forums. But hey, I'm always here if you want to plot or something!

Even with the gleaming light of the altar at the top of the ruins, one would have to squint to see the white scaled man sitting in a meditating fashion at the top. If he were to fall asleep, it would be the aged stone floors for him. One would wonder just how crazy would he have to be to stay there all night, sleepless. His methods were... different from those of other Sharlayans, for sure. He carried the goggles required to read aether, of course. However, he relied on them little. The way he had trained himself, he could simply feel the disturbances majority of the time. Some would say talent, others would say insanity. Daruku personally didn't care. He hardly faltered as he held his head up, despite the creeping exhaustion looming on him. Pushing himself would yield better results. As long as violet eyes remained open and weightless, breathing was steady, the wind sweeping away his feeling of heaviness...

Until dawn, he said. Until dawn he'd stay by the palace's light. The au ra sat cross legged on the edge of the altar, overlooking the lake, the light of the Wanderer setting a faint glow to his back and the night wind blowing through his hair. Serene, the feeling felt. Serene yet so eerie. The mysteries of Nym never ceased to make the gears in his head turn, how the scholars had fallen to such an unusual aetheric disease. The stars overhead gave no signal of the sun, more and more time to ponder, to feel the wavelength of the Floating City's aether, to hear the cries of the tonberries deep within. Just as Daruku wanted. That or he wanted an excuse to camp in quiet. Either way, until dawn. No sleep until dawn.

Sweet! Did you want me to write out a starter thread then? I'm not sure what you mean by starter thread? I've never done RP on a forum before. I mean like, I'd start a thread with an opening post then you'd reply and we go like that. I'm on Tonberry, not Balmung, so yeah. I've RPed on tumblr and twitter and that's usually how it starts, if you're okay with that. That sounds fine, though I'm on and off the forums at random times due to work. If that's ok with you then it's fine. That's fine! In all honesty I should be asleep by now but yeah.

Well it still has lots of RP going on, even with a decline from the hay-days. server still full, and even in off peak times there are people about RPing. Meanwhile there's me struggling to find RP linkshells on Tonberry, buuuut I have my reasons for keeping Daruku on the server.

I'm honestly thinking of moving my alt to Balmung since that's where everyone seems to be ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I still gotta flesh more of my character's story out but if you wanted to tie yours in somewhere then we could.

He's a black mage who favors the wilderness and roughing it compared to the comforts of civilization and he goes all over Eorzea studying the aether, helping and messing things up here and there, and flirting with pretty much anything. Well, hey there. I'm George, but I prefer Reyn. I've been interested in RPing in the FFXIV community for awhile now, but been too scared to act on it since my FC seem to look down on roleplayers. I'm willing to write as my main Au Ra, but also I have a Haurchefant on Tonberry, and I'd love to try writing for him too. I'm kinda shy and awkward but once you know me, I'm the friend who meme'd too much. Hope to make some friends.
