I could definitely use a mentor for roleplaying mechanics and story. I feel a bit shy and rusty when it comes to roleplaying. It seems like a combination of writer's block, and just overall fear that I don't fully understand the the FFXIV lore enough to create a really compelling character. I use to roleplay on FFXI, and had a really expanded Elvaan Paladin character, but I feel like it's time to start fresh and would love some guidance!

I'm definitely interested. On a side a note: I RolePlayed with my 60PLD on XI on a semi-Knight based Linkshell; so this makes me a bit sentimetal. :moogle:

RP-wise: I think having newbies and legacy players creates some depth and weight for story development (In my own story-telling style I prefer to RP along with my in-game job/level/stats, but that's just me). Game-play wise- I'm personally just excited for the launch, and as it's been mentioned. I'd rather not compete with people to kill hornets and the like. >_>

I'm a new beta tester to FFXIV. I fell in love with RP in FFXI and I have been searching the beta test forums to find a group of players who like to roleplay. I was part of a roleplay linkshell in FFXI, and since then have taken a step back from MMO's and RP, but I'm looking to brush up on my creative side as a gamer. I definitely will say I'm a bit rusty. I have a background in theater, improv and overall am a huge fan of comedic relief in Roleplay.
