Hi all! I started a thread on this a while back but it's long since been collecting dust in the depths of the forum. The plan was to get a group of people together in a linkshell who were interested in RPing members or other associates of the Maelstrom. As you might have guessed, it didn't exactly take off :3 And so, here I am! My character Soren is looking to join the Maelstrom and it'd be great if I had other people to RP such a scenario out with. I'm not looking solely for other members of the Maelstrom either. Any character who'd brush with them, oppose them, seek their assistance etc are all people I'm interested in meeting! So! Look for me in game as Soren Kha and let's see what we can sort out. I don't bite, I promise.

Thank you for the replies! Interest seems scarce as it is, but having only mentioned it on the forums I've not got much to judge it on. Perhaps I should just throw caution to the wind, make the shell and then see how it goes? If such an FC already exists then I'd be happy to hear about it, the last thing I want to do is tread on anyones toes by setting up something that's already a thing! All details are appreciated.

Hello all! I'm just wondering if this is the best place to check? I'm interested in starting a Linkshell or possibly even a FC that's dedicated to those who wish to RP as members of the Maelstrom GC. Unfortunately, I'm really new to RP here and I've no idea if it's been done before or if such a Linkshell/FC currently exists D: I've searched through this place and that doesn't seem to be the case, but knowing me I've more than likely missed something! If members could let me know if this is: a) Already a thing b) Not a lore-friendly thing or c) If they'd be interested then that would be amazing :3 Thank you for your time and thanks in advance! xxx

Views on RP combat and injuries: I’LL FIGHT YOU! Personally I adore a fight andnever shirk away from taking a few hits, but Soren, bless her, is a much more peaceably-minded soul than her player. That having been said, if she must fight then I’m happy to arrange the outcome beforehand, happy to leave the decision to the roll of the dice and happy to completely freestyle combat. Views on ICromance: Romance is not the focus or goal of my RP, but Iadore seeing happy couples in RP. It’s my opinion that romance can really augment and compliment good RP and add difference facets to characters that you might not otherwise see. Soren is herself madly in love with an elusive boyfriend, and it’s always fun to play out! Views on non-romantic RP(family ties, etc): This is where I tend to flourish, possibly becauseI’m not very talented at RPing romance! Camaraderie, blood ties, strong bonds forged by the most adverse of conditions? I’m –all- about that! Views on lore: My knowledge on the lore is pretty weak but Icompletely respect that some people are very keen to cleave tightly to it. I’m always happy to learn more about lore and take corrections or constructive criticism from those who know better than me. If there’s anything you think I should know about, get in touch. Views on chat functions(/say, /linkshell, etc): When I’m in busy areas I rarely break characterand try to keep OOC conversations to /tell. Hello to you all! o/ I'm Louise and my characters name is Soren Lier. I joined the Balmung server since I heard it was the main RP server but truth be told, I've generally been too shy to initiate much RP or talk to others since I arrived. I'm new to the game in general and I have a whole tonne of questions regarding lore and stories, but I'm eager to jump into RP as soon as I can! Generally I go for serious, plot-driven RP. Dark and mature themes are ok, Soren is a Mercenary at present, so if you see me around and you think I won't be too much trouble then please don't hesitate to send me a tell. I try to be literate, coherent (unless I'm tipsy) and friendly at all times (^^) On a personal note there's little to say. I live in the UK and work full-time, so I'm rarely around during the day on GMT. My work keeps me busy but my true passions are travel, languages, karaoke, sparkling wines and tequila-based cocktails. All in all I'm rather dull unless I'm drunk! So yeah, please come say hi!
