So, what would happen if we went back in? Would that recognize that we went through, and then allow us to finally leave? Nope, it won't let you back in. You'll keep crashing and getting error 9000 or 3102.

Welcome to the Void. Running joke with us. I've been in the void since yesterday. Its so bad that many people are falling to it. It has to do with the duty stuff are on another server. Problem is: when you get kicked out, or crash. It doesn't recognize you are done. So what happens is it thinks you are in it but you aren't. Hopefully they remove the social restrictions when doing an instanced quest/mission/whatever. That could fix it but that's only the outter layer of the problem. The other problem is simply they never expected such an overwhelming response of people.

We're out in force if anyone wants to check us out, interact with us, or get to know more about us. I'm currently unavailable for the most part due to a severe bug that's banished me from time and space... the void. So hopefully, they fix it at some point. Seer Noyeme, Aleka Donaka, or Isobeau are happy to help, answer questions, you name it.

It'll open up. I've seen almost every server get locked all day at one point.

Don't feel too bad. I went to do some quests that port you into a story/level sync. It disconnected me repeatedly now. In turn, it still thinks I'm in that story and has disabled LS/FC/Tells etc. And every point I'm at requires porting into a story, but it keeps booting me. I'm not sure if there is an issue for others like that.
-
Yea. I'll be up at 4am CST to set up the FC and LS.

Thank you everyone who came tonite, it was a great meeting despite ventrilo having some server issues. I hope that we've been able to inspire and also offer insightful ideas about us. Look forward to hearing from everyone who came outside from the organization.

So I'm doing a little play on words but: Ultros: No really.... this is our last meeting! (instead of battle) So anyway, if you were on the fence or not sure where to go... or if you were interested in us. We'll have our last meet and greet before Beta/Launch tonite at 7:30 CST. If you would like the vent info, please send me or Teardrop a pm.

Welcome!

I wonder if they took out Guild halls in Free Companies or if they are in... or if that's going to be more at launch or when player housing comes out now. Hrmm...

Nice!

If you are looking for endgame and roleplaying. Unsung Heroes, our guild actually does moderate to heavy roleplaying and we also have an ooc division that will be doing progression raiding. Our LS is designed for in character things and our FC is designed strictly for OOC with the exception of the guild house. Which is part of the University. I'd consider us mid-core when we do raid, not hardcore but not quite casual either. We won't be racing to 50 though and trying to be world first on content. And we've had plenty of previous raid experience too. We do plan to enjoy ever aspect of the game. If you want to know more about us, we're on the Balmung Linkshell section. Feel free to pm me if you want any information.

We'll be having one last meet and greet tomorrow night at 7:30pm CST. If you are a potential candidate or someone who is curious about joining us. Even leaning on the fence of checking us out. If you want the ventrilo info (you don't have to speak on a mic, there is a chat option too) Please PM Teardrop or myself and we can give you the information.

The greying of the MMO and what does it mean for RP players?
Elisea Renyven replied to hypatiala's topic in FFXIV Discussion
I don't know about that. Me and some friends went back to our old Nintendo games... Contra, Life Force etc... and I swear those games are harder than today's genre of games. So I don't really think so. I think things are more shiny, but at the end of the day I still go back to my NES if I want some really hard challenges. So I don't think it effects Rpers that much since many of us like to see the entire game. -
Welcome. I still miss Ultima Online before Trammel days. Very united community back in those days and building something from the ground up was amazing.

A question in regards to Free Companies
Elisea Renyven replied to Arelian Solin's topic in FFXIV Discussion
You just need to be level 25 to get the form that you use to invite 3 others via the invite option. Turn it in and you got your Free Company. Why they made level 20 the cap, I'll never know but if Legacy characters aren't de-leveled during Phase 4, I think Legacy should still be able to. And what I mean by de-leveled, that we're all brought down to 20 for those 3 days. The NPC for it is over in the Grand Company area. -
I want to offer a warm welcome for those who have joined us so far. I also want to congratulate a few of our newest folks who have displayed tremendous leadership and support for our growth as officers. Things are going great. Come check us out folks! We don't bite! 8-)

Legacy can redo their character completely at launch, but only once. I think to balance things out and give everyone a 'second chance' in case they end up not liking their character, they just made the a "Vet Reward". If I didn't have the Legacy appearance change, I'd be grabbing that up. I made a mistake when fine-tuning my Char originally, but I'm sure a Barber would be enough to suffice. Ok that makes more sense. For some reason I thought this was our 'redo' the character at launch thing. Hope I didn't derail any discussion.
-
I'm guessing this is for those that wanted to redo their character... Off question here. I thought you could rename your Legacy characters? Does this Phial do that or something? I guess I'm royally confused now. All it says is appearance change from what I gather. (Assuming race and/or Gender)

Open Beta & Early Access, Live Letter 8 Discussion
Elisea Renyven replied to Eve Malusion's topic in FFXIV Discussion
Correct me if I'm wrong here. Free Companies will not be able to be formed but by Legacy players right now? Since the level cap is 20 currently, I could have swore you could only set up a Free Company if you were level 25. That's what I was confused by. Not that its a big deal, but if Legacy aren't considered their present level - then they can't either? I'm just trying to see if I got this correct as that was a tad confusing. -
Welcome aboard. We'll see about maybe another meet and greet next week for those in FF14.
-
Some of us will be. We'll have folks in a variety of cities based on their starting professions. We just had a second guild meeting tonite for FF14, regarding RP and final preparations was great and productive. If you have any questions for us Niklaus, I'd be happy to answer them or anyone else in USH. I know a majority of us will be in open beta too. One of the big things I want to stress is its just not purely an Academy, there is a reason behind it and there will be quite a bit of adventure, fun, and of course Academia stuff. I do plan to try to hold a few classes as well as others who are rping instructors. All three specific groups play an important role and you can't have one without the other. I do have to answer one question asked. As far as magic users, its split in the Protectorate and in the Magistrates. Which will be interesting - but both will work to further understand the mystic energies. I've actually had to answer that question but will the agendas be the same? That's a mystery.

Nope, income is really limited this year unfortunately. And it is not cheap, looking at all the prices previous years.

No one can ever please everybody. That's a life long lesson for some. The decision for Gilgamesh was made awhile back. There is no reason to want to change it at this point. I know people are antsy for the game and I know fear has just gripped some people's minds. Gilgamesh and Balmung will both do fine, succeed, whatever... It's all going to be fine. Just stop worrying so much and stop fretting. I see no point in trying to change people's minds to go to this server or that. I know I'm just going to RP, have fun with my FC, do some fun progression and do some amazing RP. That's all that matters at the end of the day is 'how' your experience will be with the effort that you put into it. No one else. If you are very fragile thin skinned, you probably won't enjoy any Rp server because there will always be a griefer or someone to stomp on someone's parade. That's human nature. Even RP official servers have griefers. Just accept it, move on and have fun.
