So! SE has announced that it will now allow for people to create characters on Legacy world,s including Balmung! That being the case I might as well begin preparing for the Night Shift to be created! I will be joining the Balmung server as a Gladiator under the name Zikh Milh'to! So I'll be running around the desert for a while. I'll see you all during the next beta test starting tomorrow!

Hi! I'm zikh! I have a few threads going in the welcome area and Linkshell area recruiting for the Night Shift! Come check our threads out and contribute! We'll get more active closer to the game re-launch and start recruiting then. :3 As the founder I'm mostly up between 10PM local Mountain Time in the states here, and on well into the morning which is right around afternoon and evening for your fellows across the pond. (No Germans.) (Okay Germans) (But no Dutch) (Okay Dutch...) Lol, euro politics. ;D

Well if we, as real players, were informed that the combination of those things inside any said text document would be marked for scrutiny. think about it, if you send one letter, you'd be fine, but if you sent 20k letters and kept saying the same thing in yell the entire day, chances are it'd be a three strikes inside a time limit. Make that a week, and RMT vanishes on server roughly as quick as it places itself there. Warn the players, and they could avoid those issues.

I thought about it... And if the only way to stop RMT is to be looking for them, why not ask players about their behaviors? Think about it. What are the three things RMT rely on. 1: Resources for gold 2: Advertising 3: Transit You could cut off a lot of RMT by destroying mail that contains the words gold and the $ symbol together. Then you could autoban them by a strike system. Most players report these people in public, but lets just say they never leave shout and keep combining the same things. Instant ban on sales in game. You can't change how people loot, because then the game breaks. I'm not here to propose new laws in place or figure out a solution. I want to hear how you would solve it, in a way that hasn't been discussed yet. As for my statement, I merely want to know what players would think if this were used. Sure, you'd leave a warning in game saying be careful of using those combinations in game, so as not to get banned, but a bot from Korea isn't going to pick up on that. Do you believe there is more we can be doing as players to discourage things that end up ruining games?

The armory chest is pretty big though. I don't think classes will have much trouble. And you can reach the other nations by level 20 again, which was much easier in my opinion. We shouldn't discriminate which region we choose from. There's an official thread for the Night Shift now in the linkshell forums. I'll likely get more active on it later when the game is ready to launch, and I can start taking names! Hopefully servers will be sorted out by then!

If they make it really relaxing, not an action minigame, but an actual minigame, that'd still be fun. I mean they could manage it in zelda to make it fun, and you could just haul back the pacing. On a roleplaying server it's all good. I liked fishing in world of warcraft, but it was simple and boring. This should be easy to make enjoyable. Even mouse based.

Is there a way to get some kind of "Threads I've posted in" option on the control panel? Mine got lost in the mass of posts out there!

I'm having a lot of fun with gladiator in the beta. Just wish I could get a monster hurting more. I hope once I figure out other skills I can start healing myself as a tank. The rest would probably be blacksmithing.

Well, once Balmung is stable they'll open it up again for new characters. I wonder if they'll let you choose your nation then. Probably. But let's get a consensus rolling. 1: Which city sounds best to you? 2: What class do you think you'll play, if you don't have other characters already?

We'd just need to pick a server. I wonder if they'll allow character transfers after the game launches? If not we'll likely start on Balmung like everyone else. Though there was a post about that wasn't there? Something about legacy servers... But regardless, having night players would be best. I usually have six hour spans of jack going on between me and playing.

Since having people to play with during those times can usually be difficult to arrange, it's better to collect them into one place. MMO's have become an increasing pain in the neck for loners, whether they choose to be that way or not, and during these times it can be difficult to get anything real done without assistance. The night shift has your back! We'll be beginning fresh as soon as A Realm Reborn launches. The benefit of this being we can choose any server, and any starting point. The primary times for this guild will be somewhere between 10PM Mountain Time and anywhere upwards of noon. A little about myself, I'm a night worker at a hotel, so my time is usually open and easy to spend. This means however my times are spent on at night typically, and I can't be the only one up at these times! So let's make friends and cash in on loot!

Hi! I'm Zikh Milh'to. With the upcoming release of a realm reborn I've been thinking of getting back into the game. The beta is managing to impress and entertain me, but there is one issue at hand that really bothers me, just like every other MMO I've ever encountered. Past midnight, most people are going to bed. Which doesn't usually sound like a big problem. I work the late night shift at a hotel and have a lot of open time, but when my days off roll around most especially I found myself soloing through Eorzea just the same as Hydaelyn is turning out sadly. Thus while I equally introduce myself, I toss a proposition out to the people of this forum. I'm starting a night crew. A place for folks who wander around late at night and are sick of being alone when harassing monsters and completing quests. I'm on at roughly 10PM every night, mountain time, and I'm almost always looking for companionship well into the morning. I have a single advantage, that being we could choose any server we like, and start anywhere we like. That being the case the only people I'd be looking for would want to join the crew. Someone has to keep track of things while everyone else is sleeping! MMO's in general have become a pain for loners, whether they choose to be one or not, like myself. So let's see if we can make the best of it!
