Throwing my hat in the ring too. Submitted a form, probably best to contact me via discord. If by some miracle you're able to respond today I'll be afk until around 11 pm eastern but otherwise I should have a fast enough response.

One transfer later, I've had a character concept stewing in my brain while I've been leveling, and wanted to get what I have out there to see what still needs revision, clarification, or what have you. I might have over 500 hours logged but some of the nitty gritty has probably escaped me since I've spent exactly none of that time actually roleplaying in-game. For some context: I wanted to keep the concept fairly down-to-earth to start out since I'm still getting my feet wet. I feel like the way I have her set up will leave her with several options to develop and grow. A few items are left vague due to me feeling it not important enough to warrant mention or I don't have any plans to make a big deal of it. So, here it is in the form of the simple template on the wiki. I haven't made a page yet. I suppose it's a bit pedestrian at the end of the day, but I want to play it safe for my first outing. Side note, I have no idea what I did, but I seem to have completely screwed up the spoiler tags something fierce and can't figure out how to un-bungle it. Whoops.

That I didn't know! I'll keep that in mind.

Update: I managed to get my planned alt onto Gilgamesh this morning but I'm going to try again to get onto Balmung over the next few days anyway. I'd read somewhere (I think on the original post that announced the transfer service?) that there's a three day time limit before a new character is allowed to transfer, so if I fail to create a character on Balmung by the weekend I'll probably just suck it up and eat the fee. I'm getting paid this week anyway. Although, my google-fu has been giving me mixed results on whether it's possible to transfer to a server not accepting new characters. The aforementioned official post says no, but I've seen claims on Steam and Reddit that say it IS possible and I don't know which is right without doing it myself. Also all of that information was at least a year old or longer. Can someone clarify that for certain?

Oh wait it's right here. Not new to either FFXIV or RP but haven't tried RP in FFXIV. I have no character on Balmung or Gilgamesh at the moment and am waiting for new character creation to open up again so I can look around and get a feel for the general environment. I have friends over on :cactuar: that I regularly play with and have no desire to spend money on a transfer and leave them behind, so I could be waiting a while based on what my google searching has told me. Habitually I'm fairly quiet on forums at first so my name isn't going to show up very often outside of the online users list. I'm planning on lurking for a bit and doing some reading in the meantime. I'm interested in what's going on here, I just need some time to take it in, bang out a character concept into something workable, and figure out if I'd enjoy it. Pictured: four horns sticking out of my character's head and half of them are natural. Technically. This character was a moon Miqo'te before I bought HW and received a Fantasia. If I didn't have the big sword to work with I'd just ram my face into my enemies and it would probably work out.
