  1. If you wanna rp a male courtesan, do it. Seen a head nods toward it in game with npcs, but that's aside the point. Rp what you enjoy playing.
  2. Also, here's something neat I noticed. The designs all over the gelmorra ruins are basically the same as the twin adder crest.
  3. One good thing about the clans not being individually defined is that there's room for unique rp. Write your clan and your miqo'te the way you want to (within reason!).
  4. Thanks as always for the wonderful answers here! I am curious about the elzen references to language, I read somewhere (lore book scans?) that there are still a few words that bleed into the common tongue even now. So what would that language be, select french terms? Have any NPCS ever used french greetings or anything to confirm it?
  5. Thanks for the replies, everyone. I did read this over earlier but got very busy. Ulemo's post was super relative to what I'm interested in, too. I really like the idea of using Aether to enhance songs and tales with visual elements. So I'm going to borrow from the DnD spells and abilities a little. I'm also interested in going 'true bard' in a sense where the songs have power. Still working on her!
  6. Trying my hand at a new bard character. I'd love any feedback or ideas on creative uses of Aether for storytelling elements (Such as using it to create illusions? Patterns or colors?) and uses in actual musical performances to tug at emotions and influence the listeners. I'm familiar with playing bards in DnD but I'm not as sure when it comes to FFXIV, and how to go about transitioning from magic used settings in such as Forgotten Realms into rping with Aether instead. Thanks! :moogle:
