I am simply going to echo Zhavi's post as they brought up a lot of good points. What I've learned to do is to try and be flexible- not with my character himself but rather where he can ICly be at any given time. Keeping to only one city, even if Ul'dah is usually a pretty good hub for rp didn't help me. Shooting people messages, ingame or here is also a good idea, and while I've yet to do it here, my previous experience with post-by-post forum roleplay has been very good, and would help with the pesky time management problem. And possibly foster stronger friendships/relationships doing it! There are some, me included, who have their search info edited with 'walk up rp appreciated' and it helps finding me people who don't mind if I walk up to them and start yammering, usually.

I myself let it happen spontaneously but it only worked because both myself and the other player AND our characters clicked together so well- and for us that was pure chance and completely unplanned. But I also imagine this works different for everyone, and if you already have trouble finding people for spontaneous rp, maybe this would get you a chance to know someone better- I personally have to get on well with the players behind the character too.

Haha, the fear of strangers is something I share. It'd be different if I knew the dungeon, but when I don't... *shivers*. Are you in the Europa Linkshell? We all should join it to keep in contact! Yeah, I joined a few days ago. I think I've seen you around in it too.

Uuurgh, that sounds terrible. I swore off Dell some years ago myself, one laptop from the was enough to convince me that never again. I hope you find what you need though, but I'm in the same dilemma as Eve, being norwegian, so none of my recommended stores would be worth it. Best of luck.

From what I read on your characters view on tribal life, I think it'd be a blast if my character met yours. You'd blow his mind and make him think really hard on the things he was taught as a kid. On another note, if people are less inclined to change their names, how about a off-shoot tribe from the usual tribes, one consisting of Miqo'te who might have left their original tribes for a reason but still feel the pull to stay connected to other tribal miqo'te? I'm usually on as L'ohke Tia, and I sure don't mind being added as a friend for Viper tribe hijinks..I've yet to actually spot other L'members in-game. To add to the whole conversation though, I've rp-ed with several Tia's from different tribes now, and all of us have very distintive and different personalities and views on the Tia and Nunh, and how males should act. It makes for hilarity more than conflict, so I don't really see any trouble in people adopting their own 'facts'. Heck, I basically play my off-shot off the L'tribe based on elfquest!

Are we sure this isn't some eloborate ploy to make sure the ones of us who have forsaken friends, family, sleep and food go and get those things? Maybe it's not an error, maybe it is a kindness! ...I can feed myself SE, please let me play your game? ><
