Elika found her way to Ul'dah during the refugee crisis that misplaced and separated many of the Miqo'te people, as a result Elika became seperated from her family and tribe members during a storm, escaping on-board a leaving fishing ship. [/align] [align=center]For several months Elika worked as a deck hand on upon the Lady Star, it was difficult work yet offered her a temporary place to live, a simple income and a reasonable portion of food, despite the hardship she remained cheery and resourceful, hiding her troubles away from others eyes. [/align] [align=center]Upon reaching Ul'dah and going separate ways from her ship crew, Elika wished to travel in search of her family, yet coming to realise that doing so alone was possibly a dangerous task, as a result Elika took notice of her own resourceful and hard working personality and decided to advertise herself as a squire or personal assistant to a willing adventurer. Thank you for taking the time to read my characters little synopsis. I'm not long back to FFXIV after a small duration of time. [/align] [align=center]So! A little about myself. [/align] [align=center]I'm an experienced role-player and hope to involve myself further into the lore and universe and world of Hydaelyn, coming back after some time and having no friends or connections makes role-play difficult and rather daunting so I'm hoping to change that with this post! I'm looking for friendships and companionship and possibly that my Character Elika can use and develop to further expand her personal story and personality. She's a bubbly and rather excitable girl that can at times become too much for people yet shows her true qualities through loyalty. I'm happy with male or female characters and just wish to see what happens, be it simply friends or a relationships yet this isn't my primary focus. I've actually been floating around the Quicksand recently to involve myself in the RP style of the game, it's been nice to interact with some people and see their own style of RP chatter, I'm finding it hard to keep track of conversations when there is so many other people around but I suppose i'll get used to it! Well hello there you lovely lot! It's so nice to become part of a new community and from the looks of it you all appear to be incredibly active on these boards, which is awesome! Allow me to introduce myself! You can call me Empress or Em! (My real name is Emily)! I've been role-playing for a very long time within several different formats, such as completely forum based and text based role-play which includes thousands of characters per post and also role-play within video games, many of the previous ones being WoW, SWTOR and AION to name a few. Currently it would appear that I've been sucked into the world of Final Fantasy, I started a few days ago and already I'm level 33 and continuing to rise so I suppose it's safe to say that I'm already addicted! Upon deciding to transfer my character to Balmung from a previous server, I'm looking to immerse myself in FFXIV role-play and make some new friends and people to create stories with along the way. My current understanding on lore is limited to what I've experienced through the main quest, so right now I'm looking for a group of role-players that I can spent time with and are willing to teach me a thing or two about the world.
