Well I hope someone can use a comic relief supporting role character, and thanks again for the complement.

I climbed out of the back of the wagon as soon as it stopped. I still couldn’t believe the mess I was in.Only a few hours ago I had been in Metropolis robbing a bank, or at least attempting to rob a bank. Times had changed though and you couldn’t even go two steps anymore without running into a super hero. So the whole robbery wasn’t going too well. Not two second after the alarm went off, fifty heroes showed up. Fifty! I only had 2 guys with me at the time helping me out. So let’s do the math. Three divided by fifty add two and carry theone equals, a whole crap load of heroes about to beat the life out of use! Then poof I’m here, having to help out some talking crystal with its drama if I’m ever to get back home. I came around the wagon and headed for the gates that wouldlet me into the city we had come to. Maybe I could get some straight answers inside about where exactly wasgoing on and what had happened to me. I was almost to the gate when the next thing I know I’meating sand. Now let me inform you about eating sand in case you ever have that odd idea about eating some at one point in your life. Don’t, just don’t do it. I reached out for my fire powers, so I could barbeque whoever had knocked me down to the ground., but to my disbelief I no longer had my powers. Instead of my powers there was something else there, but I just couldn’t reach it. I didn’t have much time to think about it, because a second later I was being lifted back onto my feet. “I’m so sorry Adventurer. Chocobos are usually a friendlysort, but for some reason I’ve been having a hard time with this one.” “A choco what”? Iasked, dusting myself off. Then I looked up, and looked up even more. “What the hell is that thing? Some sort of mutated ostrich”?I asked the guy holding what I’m guessing was its leash. “Ostrich”? The man mumbled under his breath. “No fineAdventurer it’s a Chocobo. Dear I hope he didn’t hit you too hard. I’m afraid you might have some head trauma.” “I’m fine, but to be clear about this. That sesame streetlooking bird is called a Cocobow”? “It’s a Chocobo, adventurer .” “That’s what I said, A Chocobo. So what do you guys do with these things? Eatem”? I asked the guy. “Oh heavens no, you ride them. In fact my chocobo are the fastest you’ll find on this side of Eorzea. Would you care to rent one”? “Ride them? Don’t have cars or even horses”? “Cars….Horses? Adventurer, I really think you need to see about getting some healing down on you’? I just shocked my head and started walking to the gateagain. Chocobo? What crazy place was I stuck in and what happened to my powers. I hoped that inside this city I’d find answers…

Thanks for the great comments everyone. Wasn't sure how people would feel about bringing a bit of DCUO over to Final Fantasy.

Hello, I'm looking for a mentor to show me the RP ropes. I'm on Ultros right now for Phase 3. I'm using phase 3 to test and get use to playing the game. I plan on joining the Non Legacy that is decided after the 24 hour voting. I already have my character set up that I'll be using. His name is Mr. Heat. First off you'll notice that his name doesn't fit with the names you'll find in FF 14. The reason for this is because he's not from that realm. He's from DC Universe Online. Mr Heat and I have been together for almost 3 years now and we're not ready to call it quits. So since it's not the first time a Final Fantasy game has taken people from other places in time, and dimensions, I was able to work a story for Mr Heat to be here in Final Fantasy. I'm hoping I can find a mentor to help ease me into RPing and also to help me better fit MR. Heat into a spot for RPing. Thanks for your time.

Hello, My names Sam and I'm new to RPing and FF14. I have been a big FF fan since super Nintendo though. The only game that I've played that is somewhat like an mmorpg is DCUO. Played that game since open beta. That whole time I only stuck with one person I created named Mr. Heat. Since I was never here for 1.0 and only know the tidbits I have learned looking online. I thought it would be fun to make a story about what would happen if Mr Heat was brought to the Final Fantasy realm. I already have somethings sticking my head about it. For starters what would be his reaction to seeing a Chocobo or moogle for the first time. This is the beginning story I made up for him so far. The Crystal Reached Out for Help, but Superman and Lex couldn't make it...... So instead we few were chosen to answer the call. Believe me though in no way was this my idea. I had a good thing going in Metropolis. I hate to brag, but I was almost as big as Lex, Joker, and that lady that can do magic.....ok maybe she's not that big aaannd yes maybe I might be lying just a tad bit about almost being as big as Lex and Joker. That's not important, don't know why you brought that up anyways. Where was I before you interrupted me? Oh yeah like I was saying, just minding my own business just trying to make an unhonest living so I can feed my poor hungry henchmen when the next thing I know there's a bright light . Now let me make sure you're understanding. I go by the name Mr Heat, fire is my thing. I could light up a few square blocks, so when I say it was bright, I mean it was BRIGHT. So to recap. Yada yada yad big thing. Yada yada yada hungry henchmen. Yada yada BRIGHT. Once the light faded I was floating in front of a huge crystal. Just when I thought I've seen it all it started talking to me like something out of Final Fantasy. "Lex I have called you here to help save our realm from the darkness that is coming. Will you answer the call of the Crystal?" "Um I'm not Lex , sooo can you send me back to Metropolis?" "Not Lex? Oh dear this isn't good. I'm afraid I can't send you back, so you will have to do." Can that crystal make you feel special or what. Made me all warm inside. I was about to ask it just why the hell it couldn't send me back, but the next thing I know I'm waking up here in this wagon telling you my story I'm not sure how this whole RPing gets started so I'll be putting my name in the mentor thread, and also looking for a free company and/or linkshell that could fit into their ever growing story.
