What was first presumed to just be a cold has morphed into a frightening condition and many people are now experiencing blackouts and hallucinations. These ‘fever dreams’ often tap into the subconscious and warp the world around them. Write a short story about your character’s own trip into dreamland. The story can be surreal or realistic but you are highly encouraged to include other characters. It’s made up so your portrayal does not have to be accurate to anything but your own presumptions but get their OOC permission first. Requirements Must be based in the FFXIV universe and be true to the canon of Hydaelyn's world. (ie don't use motorcycles or pocky) Minimum 5,000 words maximum of 30,000 Must be submitted by June 9, 2015 @ Midnight PST Must have a minimum of 3 characters in the story (no monologues) How to Submit Add a reply to this thread with your story in spoiler tags labelled contest entry OR Post the story on an external site and reply to this thread with a link. Prizes To give an added incentive a small contest has been added with 1,000,000 gil in prizes being awarded to the best stories. Categories for prizes include: Judge’s Favorite (1st, 2nd, 3rd) and Fan Favorite (1st, 2nd, 3rd). It is encouraged however if you wish to make your 'fever dream' part of your character's canon. Q. What do you mean by minimum characters? Can I make them up? A. Part of the challenge is seeing how people perceive 'other' characters. You can make them up all on your own but bonus points for using actual OCs Link to comment
