Mordagen pointed to the wings of the dragon he killed. "See those?  Notice how they aren't as long as yours.  The one I killed flies faster.  It's a scout.  Any hesitation or running a plan by you would have cost us precious time we didn't have.  Precious time we still don't really have because now the rest will come looking for the two that haven't returned."

He reaches in his bags and takes out a box of ChocoTreats™.  He holds out his hand and Kraw happily munches them up.  Much to the Chocobo's dismay, Mordagen puts the box back in his bags.

"Now let's move."

Evey had opened her mouth to say something when she'd seen the display up above. She had always heard that Dragoons were pretty fierce in their ability to fell dragons with ease, but she never really thought she'd see such a spectacle. It took a certain kind of person, physique, and ability to do what they did. Needless to say she was impressed, and perhaps a bit at a loss for words.

She watched the display between the two when Mord returned to them, bringing a hand to her lips to stifle a light chuckle, as her face lit up with an amused smile. She nodded in agreement in regards to their departure, turning back towards her Chocobo and giving a sharp whistle. The lightly armored bird trotted on over, and the girl grabbed onto the reins and hoisted herself up easily onto the saddle.

"You know, you two could probably make a lot of gil if you charged admission for a show like that." she said teasingly.

To argue the point, or not argue the point? In her mind's eye she didn't like what Mordagen had done, despite his reasoning for doing so. She felt like a failure compared to him. Only half a dragoon - nay, a fraction - and this was a feeling that soured her entire mood. The adrenaline from felling the dragon was beginning to wear off, and in its place, melancholy.

Evey, however, had a natural ability to life ones spirits. The girl was beautiful, no doubt, but Mayu could also see that she was beautiful on the inside as well. She forced herself to smile at the young Hyur. It conjured memories of a time when she was mistaken for a dragoon pole dancer.

"You know, there's this funny story I'd like to tell you on the way to the keep."

She walked over to Lulubelle, who wasn't making eye contact - silly bird - and climbed atop. She took the reins into her hands and gave her chocobo a light pat to urge her forward.

"A miqo'te couple approached me and asked me to dance for them. A lewd dance, mind you."
