allgivenover Posted June 8, 2015 Share #26 Posted June 8, 2015 I know, but I've never been a fan of it and Aya's art is what the character sprites were designed from, so... /shrug Link to comment
Viola Posted June 8, 2015 Author Share #27 Posted June 8, 2015 Fair enough. To each their own. Funfact; When I first saw Miriam, I named her Rose. Then I found out she had a name. Link to comment
ProvaDiServo Posted June 9, 2015 Share #28 Posted June 9, 2015 Yeah, I can overlook the design for the gameplay. Iga iga. Question; is that signature and avatar Morrigan from Darkstalkers? ('-' ) Indeed it is On the Alucard subject: Never occured to me, his sprite did not add up to his art, or rather that his art is reflective of his weakened state as opposed to his standard set. But then again if the art went by in game, my alucard would be a coked up backdashing maniac in a snow white cloak swinging around a muramasa. >.> Link to comment

Manari Posted June 10, 2015 Share #30 Posted June 10, 2015 Shield Rod + Alucard Shield was my favorite way to break the game. But I've played SotN so many times and had to come up with different ways to handicap myself to make it harder just because I loved playing the game so much. Igavania is the best of course. But I still loved classic Castlevania. Castlevania 3 was my favorite as a kid. I loved Super Castlevania 4 as well, but it was so easy compared to Castlevania 3. Link to comment
Viola Posted June 13, 2015 Author Share #31 Posted June 13, 2015 As of 10:48 PM EST it is with great gratitude that I can say without a shadow of a doubt that Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night has hit $5.5 million, hitting every. Single. Goal. Link to comment
CallmeYahweh Posted June 13, 2015 Share #32 Posted June 13, 2015 I am hype as hell for this game. I went ham on backing it (and was rewarded by the god damn Amano poster) and even though future me may be upset, I am 110% okay with that. SoTN was the first Castlevania I completed on my own without outside help, and I still replay it on the regular. I really hope that the success of this and MN9 push other devs into considering kickstarter. (Shenmue I'm looking at you. And you too, Legacy of Kain.) Link to comment
Caspar Posted June 13, 2015 Share #33 Posted June 13, 2015 I love Castlevania. I've sadly had very few chances to play it due to its constant presence on Nintendo consoles. But I really loved SotN. I hope that this game is something I can play off a Nintendo hardware, though I was a bit late to back it. It's funny, back when I was getting started, IGA was a really controversial figure among fans. I knew a lot about the solid titles such as Super IV, which I played, and Rondo of Blood, which I could not, but SotN was a steal and a Greatest Hits game for 20.00 by the time I got to it. It was almost an accident, since before then CV wasn't a "big" series for me. Years later, my impression of Vampires is permanently stuck in the "white haired beautiful nobleman" of Kojima's artwork, my idea of a vampire hunter is one who can summon gigantic whirling crosses and rainstorms of holy water, and Shaft is one bad motha-shut yo mouth, but not the one most people think of. Hyrist Posted June 13, 2015 Share #34 Posted June 13, 2015 The outpouring of the Fans of Iga was amazing, insane even. I sat there and watched the four hours stream and was laughing till my sides hurt. I'm going to have a hard time containing my excitement for this game as the next two long years come about. Thankfully there is Heavensward and a lot of other good games coming down the pipeline in the meanwhile. I'd rather Iga and Inti Creates take their time and really give this game the polish it deserves, then have the game come out quickly. Link to comment
Lottie Posted June 13, 2015 Share #35 Posted June 13, 2015 Blast, it's already closed! Ah well - here's to waiting eagerly for it to come out. I love Castlevania and appreciate the old retro style they're honouring because I just don't really like the new LoS game. A shame that Ayami was too busy to be involved though, was hoping to see her Castlevania art again. Link to comment
