Greetings to all citizens of Eorzea! The Netlink of Eorzean Taverns is pleased to present to you the Lalafell Autumn Festival!

 

As the month of Nophica steadily approaches, marked by the falling sands of the Keeper's hourglass, the warm summer breezes, having traveled across the Rhotano Sea, will soon be driven away by the wintry winds borne in the wake of Oschon. With the hours of the Warden's gaze upon the land become evermore quick to retire and the towering mountains of Eorzea welcome the rising gentle glow of the moon, the Lalafells of Clan Moguri have gathered in the Black Shroud to host another day of festivities and fun.

 

With the approval from the Adventurer's Guild, the local support of a few independent free companies and the sponsorship of certain individuals, the Netlink of Eorzean Taverns and the Lalafells of Clan Moguri have collaborated in creating a festival near the end of the Moonfire Faire that pays homage to the change in season and coming arrival of Autumn and in honor of Nophica, tender of soils and harvests and the goddess of abundance. For it is an abundant surplus that contributes to a richer, economic commerce.

    Hide & Seek || "Jewels of the Harvest" - Five individuals will be hiding in various spots in Lavender Bed each holding a jewel. The list of jewel holders and their respective jewels can be found below for reference. After seeking out and receiving the other five tokens, the first person to open trade and present the five tokens shall be declared the winner. Good luck to all participants!

     

    Grand Prize: Star Ruby/Sapphire Music Box Set

    Cosplay Contest || "Harvesting the Fruits of Ingenuity" - All participants will state the name of their character and the anime/manga/game title of the character they are portraying. Participants may also prepare a small dialog and use any series of actions and/or emotes to help better portray their character. Criteria for the judging will be based on Appearance, Similarity and Ingenuity in composing the cosplay together. Each judge can award up to 5 points in each category for a possible grand total of 15 points. Good luck to all participants! *** All early registrants will each receive a Copper Ingot to indicate that can be used to trade for glamour prisms the day after the event with the leaders of the Miqo'teers [MQ] at Yainu-Par Ward 7 between 1-3pm and 5-7pm Pacific.

    Fashion Show || "The Creative Beauty of Falling Leaves" - Each participants are asked to prepare two ensembles inspired by the season of Autumn. They must also prepare a small dialog that helps explain to the judges how their fashion captures and represents a connection to the theme. Criteria for the judging will based on Creativity, Originality and Symbolic Qualities of its creation. Each judge can award up to 5 points in each category for a possible grand total of 15 points. Good luck to all participants! *** All early registrants will each receive a Copper Ingot that can be used to trade for glamour prisms the day after the event with the leaders of the Miqo'teers [MQ] at Yainu-Par Ward 7 between 1-3pm and 5-7pm Pacific.

    Poetry Slam - “Whispers of an Autumn Wind” - Participants will prepare a verse of up to 14 lines in advance with a subject of their choice relating to theme of FFXIV. Criteria for the judging will be based on the Style, Imagery and Overall Comprehension as a whole. Each judge can award up to 5 points in each category for a possible grand total of 15 points. Good luck to all participants!

    • 2nd Place Prize: Owlet Minion + 100k gil

    Piquant Pumpkin Cafe - We are honored to be joined by the crew of the Piquant Pumpkin Cafe who have graciously offered their business in hosting a small, petite cafe for the festival during the afternoon. It isn't everyday one can find eateries made of pumpkin much less see a pumpkin at this time of year. Please enjoy the delicious "spook-tacular trick-or-treats" that they may have to offer!

Open registration for the Cosplay Contest, Fashion Show and Poetry Slam events at the festival has begun! Please send a tell to Raltz Waltz if you would like to register or apply to this thread. There will be a 5k registration fee for each of the three events. Note that your registration won't be approved until payment is received. For additional details, please check the appropriate sections above. If you would like to register in person IC'ly, please visit the Carline Canopy between the hours of 6-12pm Central. After much deliberation, it has been decided by the festival staff members that the registration fee shall be dropped. However, late entrees won't be receiving a Copper Ingot. We would like to encourage that those who signed up for the festival events be present at least 15 minutes before the scheduled timed to keep things flowing smoothly. Those who have paid the 5,000 registration fee will be refunded back at the festival. Thank you for all your understanding. Hope to see you all at the festival!

Lalafell Autumn Festival is today! We are still looking for additional assistance if anyone is interested. Please contact one of the festival staff members for further inquiries.
