XIV coming to next-gen consoles and current server shutdown

I guess this confirms that there are next-gen consoles coming from MS and Sony, which SE knows about but can't comment on specifically:

At least we're promised plenty of notice. I think it'll be something like the Goobbue removal in terms of how much time was given, only with even more reminders.
