Anyone here play Terraria?

If so I have a question regarding the golem boss. I just beat Plantera, and I have been fully decked out in hallowed gear. My weapons of choice are between True Excalibur and Clockwork Assault Rifle with explosive ammo. I can beat the golem's hands and I get close to killing his head, but when he speeds up his eye laser I end up being overwhelmed since the lizards also get nosey and want to rip out my lungs.

 

Do you know any strategies?
