New to RP, but also looking for more friends

Hi all!

 

This is an alt character that I've leveled up over a few months, my main is on Sargatanas, but I really wanted to look into Balmung to try to relive the story and revitalize the game with different things. I spend more time on him now than I do on Sarg, really. 

 

I've had a lot of good experiences so far with random people trading free items and food. The other day I had a really nice Miqo SCH sitting out front in the Arcanist guild that traded me an HQ book that helped me a lot when I leveled up. No prompting, no begging, just gave it to me. Was such a nice surprise. 

 

Basically I'm looking into making friends in the community before diving too deep into RP. I don't have any linkshells and I don't have a current free company, so if there are suggestions, I'll be sure to check them out. I'm also a gay male gamer, so any communities (LS or FC) LGBT-inclusive of that would be fantastic. I'll look into small RP steps as well.

Hello Dorian! If you're hoping for a little exposure to some RP (without necessarily even having to participate - you can just come hang out and watch if you want), the FC Wayfarers of Eorzea is hosting a "tavern night" tonight which begins in about 10 minutes. It's held weekly, so if you decide that you'd like to get your feet wet in the scene with some RP, it's a nice environment to do so.

I'm glad you've had such great experiences. Sometimes I get whispers where people just emote patting me on the head. It's always when I'm afk.

 

I'm not part of an LS or FC so I can't recommend anything there. Maybe we'll run into each other in the game sometime though.
