Ribbon Maker Strikes Again, Victim Found Dead

Reports like this are never easy to read nor are the easy to write. It is with trembling hands that I write this now. A few nights ago, it was confirmed that the Ribbon Maker left behind another victim, this time in Gridania.

 

Autopsy reports confirm that the victim, whose name is still unknown, was violated before she was brutally beaten to death by blunt force trauma to the head and face. This lends to the difficulty of trying to identify her. The report also shows that she was heavily drugged before she died. The drug is unknown at this time. A source also confirms that the one responsible is taking pieces of clothing as a souvenir and then leaving it as a ribbon somewhere near his next victim (which has sparked his infamous title).

 

What is worse is that this is not his first victim. He has left a trail of six prior and none are left alive. How long will it be before authorities make their arrest and keep this monster from terrorizing women?

 

Inspector Desmond, who is the captain of the Special Crimes Division, was available for a statement, which is quoted below.

 

“We are doing everything we can to catch the person responsible for this most heinous trail of crimes. We understand the public’s concern and assure you that every step is being taken to make sure we get this guy in a vice that he possibly can’t escape. That being said… we know that he specifically targets female miqo’te. Please, if you see this male miqo’te, Ehvar, do not engage him. Contact the local authorities immediately.”

 

A sketch of Ehvar can be seen at the end of this article. While Inspector Desmond’s record in closing cases is rather impressive, many citizens are concerned with how much time is passing while innocent miqo’te are brutalized. Let’s hope the authorities apprehend Ehvar soon...

Ribbon Maker Claims Eighth Victim!

It is every bride's dream to live happily ever after. Sadly, an unnamed victim will not get her happily ever after. First responders describe the scene as 'sick, twisted' as the Ribbon Maker plays his game, undoubtedly taunting the investigators and, vicariously, the public.

 

The scene this time was littered with seeds. The victim, according to one source, was dressed in a bride's gown that was not her own. Her ring finger was amputated and seems to have been kept as a souvenir.

 

As is his trademark, the victim was miqo'te and a ribbon from the previous victim's clothes were found at the scene. The autopsy report confirms the victim suffered forced entry and bruising during her attack and before she was murdered, consistent with all seven prior attacks.

 

 

 

As the headline states, this is the eighth victim in a long string of brutal violations that result in death. Sketches have been circulating for what seems like ages, but no one has seen this Keeper, Ehvar. If they do, it seems they do not live to tell their side of the story.

Medical Examiner Newest Victim In Ribbon Maker Spree

It was a peaceful night in the area surrounding Summerford Farms. That is, until authorities followed a trail of clues from the Ribbon Maker to a member of Inspector Desmond’s own team. While I was asked to keep the name anonymous, it is obvious who it is by now. Sireh was found dead near a creek, sprawled across the rock. Investigators confirm that the cause of death was a shattered spine from being tossed from a cliff above. Further reports show that just like the victims before, Sireh was brutally violated before she was murdered.

 

With these attacks now getting close to the Inspector’s team it is evident that the Ribbon Maker is sending a clear message. He can get close to the Inspector and he’s still one step behind. Citizens and officials alike are wondering how many more will fall before authorities wake up and do something about it.

 

This one hits close to home. Someone who worked for the City States and stayed out of harm's way found herself in the middle of the hottest fire, and she paid dearly for it.

Ribbon Maker Spree Interrupted By Survivor

The count keeps climbing and at an alarming rate with this Ribbon Maker. While he claimed another, it was outside his tastes for miqo’te and she was able to fight her way out of being a victim. A source close to this case revealed that the survivor is a midlander hyur by the name of Synerva Devereux. She was able to fight herself free from Ehvar, a miqo’te keeper. This is the same one who is wanted in connection to the Ribbon Maker spree. Sources say that Ehvar was wounded in the fight, two are dead, and a couerl was wounded mortally and a second dead.

 

Synerva nor Inspector Desmond were available for questions. In fact, Desmond is nowhere to be found. But is this the break that authorities need? Will this finally be the end to a long spree of victims and murders? As soon as any news is available on this heinous case it will be reported.

Ribbon Maker Apprehended; Final Victim Found Alive

It has been reported by numerous sources that Ehvar’to Kosah has been apprehended in the Ribbon Maker case. He was found in an abandoned manor in Gridania. Also found was M’lissa Keht who was bound to a bed, dressed in a wedding dress, and decorated with numerous parts from previous crime scenes. While her life was not claimed, she was viciously brutalized and tortured. Her condition was so critical that she was rushed off to the infirmary in Gridania.

 

At the scene two bodies were found, the result of Inspector Desmond’s handiwork. They are unidentified at this time. It is also apparent that a duel took place between Ehvar and Desmond. Thankfully for the public, Desmond subdued Ehvar and placed him under arrest.

 

According to public record, Ehvar was arrested for kidnap and attempted murder. After a length of time being interviewed by authorities, Ehvar was indicted on nine counts of murder in the first degree, eleven counts of kidnapping in the first degree, twelve counts of rape in the third degree, and one count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

 

Ehvar is being held prisoner pending a tribunal. Authorities are investigating as to whether or not he is mentally capable to face the tribunal. Despite a written confession and a good arrest, there is doubt he understands the severity of his actions.

 

This means it is quite possible we will knowingly have an indicted murderer and rapist roaming the streets committing said crimes without a second thought. Any further news on this subject will be reported swiftly as possible.

Ehvar’to Kosah Ruled Mentally Unstable

After a tribunal for Ehvar’s long list of crimes, he was ruled mentally unstable and unfit to face the tribunal for his crimes. A number of psychiatric professionals were questioned and answered that based on how Ehvar was raised, acquired, and abused throughout his life that he cannot be held responsible for the crimes he committed. It was ruled that the one responsible, Ludovic Descatoux, should be held responsible.

 

If you’ll recall, Ludovic was murdered and this is actually one of the crimes Ehvar is being charged with. Since this has put that charge in an endless loop and the others are dismissed, Ehvar is now a free man. The surviving victims will not receive closure knowing that their kidnapper is loose in the world.

 

Authorities have released recent pictures of him all over the city states. They are making a large effort to make sure everyone knows who he is, what he looks like, and how to avoid him.

 

It is situations like this that breed vigilantism. After hundreds of anonymous interviews it is safe to say what many people are thinking right now. The public’s vigilante watchdog had better clean this up.

John sigh, sitting back and rubbing his aching head.  Pick was right, the headaches were getting worst.  He would need to speak with Khyran soon before Warren and Howl realize that he was having trouble controlling the memories floating free in his own.  "I'm missing something," he mutter.  Ehvar's death was more brutal, with the use of Bloodflower.  He still haven't found anything on it but he hadn't look into it too deeply in case either the Blades or whoever shot Ehvar was keeping a look out.  It had to be revenge...you wrong me, I'll give it 10 times worst.  "I think there was something about survivor...where did I put those..."

 

John stood up, the blue/purple hair miqo'te stepping over to his desk.  It was probably a good thing he hadn't toss these out yet.  "Ok," he said, flipping through those articles.  He bit down on his lip, rereading the details of how the females were brutalities.  "Lady Synerva Devereux survive...fought herself free."  He was flipping over to the last page when the second to last caught his eyes.  "There was a second?"  He skim over the article, freezing as he saw the name of the last victim.  M'lissa Keht!  He rush over, forgetting about the headache to find the article again.

 

He quickly check it.  "In connection with Ludovic Descatoux's murder..."  He look back at the Ribbon Maker articles.  "So Viper must have had something that clear Lady M'lissa of the murder but...Ehvar was being charge with the murder..."  There was two possible paths then.  Either someone that knew Lady Synerva had went after Ehvar after he was set free or "Someone that knew Lady M'lissa."  He needed to see if he could find out either ladies family or friends...see if there was a connection between them...someone that knew both and would seek revenge for both.

 

He close the books, glancing over to his bed, where his Flame uniform was.  It would have to wait to speak with either.  Dagger Unit was being sent to Ishgard for a festival that was going to take place.  He needed to let Warren and the others know that he would being leaving for it in a few weeks.  "Maybe a break will give me time to connect the dots with all the pieces I have here."
