The purpose of Perpetual Light is to provide a home to roleplayers of any skill level or enthusiasm. There is no overall theme or story of the FC other than to focus on what matters most: establishing connections, meeting new roleplayers, and community involvement. In other words, Perpetual Light is a network made by roleplayers for roleplayers. House: The Goblet, Ward 9, Plot 20 (Rooms are OOC.) Discord: Available upon request; visitors/friends welcomed RP Frequency: Light and casual; evening/late-night; regular events FC Size: Small, casual, tight-knit Preferred: 18+, LGBTQ+ friendly, positive mindset Recruitment: Open What separates Perpetual Light from a traditional RP FC? Most RP FCs are focused on the story of the FC and its theme. Because PL has neither of these, members of PL are focused on open community events and storytelling between players and their characters rather than one 'umbrella' story. The idea of PL is to get roleplayers involved with other roleplayers in and out of the FC. Perpetual Light has an open door policy in that anyone is welcomed to join and almost everyone is capable of inviting other members and/or alts. If a member finds a FC that fits their RP style better, they are welcome to join that other FC - no hard feelings! Does Perpetual Light have any form of leadership? No, we do not have any leadership structure aside from the FC Manager whose sole purpose is to manage the member list and FC warehouse, that's it. Volunteers are something like officers in that they can remove a member if a member go against the guidelines. What are Perpetual Light's rules? Common sense, respect, and good fellowship is the key. Be excellent to each other. No bigotry, no foul words. (Our complete list of guidelines is available on our Discord server.) What sort of events does PL host? We try to maintain a bi-monthly schedule using events that focus on small, open-world outings and adventures. Events are generally handled by our Volunteers all the while using a simple combat-rolling system. We also heavily promote community events and will re/cross-post this information to interested members. How often do Perpetual Light members PVX? Members are encouraged to partake in any part of the game that they desire be it PVE, PVP, or both. We cannot expect everyone to be on the wagon for certain elements of the game, however, members are welcome to schedule events ahead of time like weekly dungeons, material farming and so on. Whatever works for whoever is available So PL is a regular FC that's RP-friendly? In a nutshell, yes. But the main focus of PL is to keep RPers connected with each other and all of the above. How does PL handle attendance and involvement? Members can manage their own time and attend events as they want - we do not enforce any attendance nor have attendance policies. We merely ask that members show up if they can or if willing to participate. How to Join: To join PL, simply send in an in-game application requesting to join. We may ask for a TL;DR of your character. You may also seek out Jay'ani K'satria, Dimitraux Vairemont, or Iggdrassil Havamal in-game for more details. TL;DR: We are an OOC community fixated on building IC connections and serving as a beacon of inspiration, helpfulness, and assurance for each other without the hassle of themes or overly demanding FC requirements.
