Rank Meanings
Daimyo - Samurai Lord; highest ran. A Daimyo handles the estate, makes decisions and leads the family.

Karo - Second/Council/Admin; Karo are retainers who handle a family estate while the damiyo is away. They also handle the damiyo’s personal and private business, both involving contracts and otherwise. These are personally appointed figures from the Samurai or Shinobi Ranks

Shinobi/Kunoichi - Covert Agents; These members are covert agents who gather information, handle assassinations and other tasks of espionage needed of their liege.

Samurai/Onna-bugeisha - Bushi or Buke; The Bushi are Military nobility, those who have risen in the ranks and shown their worth and ferocity on the battlefield.

Shinshoku - Head Priest; they are in charge of hand swearing members into the family, healing the injured and sick, they handle the temple duties, funerals and other religious rites that protect the house from evil.

Ashigaru -Foot Soldiers; the trained soldiers that are sent into direct combat during times of war. They act as guards for the household.

Saishi -Ordinary priests who are still undergoing spiritual training. They act as healers for the household.

Deshi - Pupils, or students, of either the martial or spiritual classes. They are handled by the heads of their respective schools.

Soshinsha - Beginners; low ranking members of the family who have been sworn in.

Shokunin: Merchants, Crafters, Farmers, and other artisans that ally themselves with the house but take no role as soldiers within the household.
