"MAGNESIUM CHEEEEEEEEFFFFFFFF!!!!!!!"

Siben's head snapped up from his book as he heard an odd scream from the kitchen area.

He looked to Loki curiously (assuming she's still there) and walked over to investigate.

"Hm..A cooking contest?"

Siben looked on, intrigued.

He mumbled to himself as he sat down to watch, "Maybe I can learn something..."

Stanzie looked up from her work after realizing she couldn't make out any of the words due to the fall of night. She stretched, got up from her chair and made her way to the door. "Ow! Stupid bed!", hopping on one foot Stanzie opened the door and slowly made her way downstairs following the sounds of people and the smell of food. As she reached the main floor she heard

"MAGNESIUM CHEEEEEEEEFFFFFFFF!!!!!!!"
"Oh, he's at it again. Better see what's on the menu tonight. I need to eat and the food's good either way." Nodding at the barkeep she walked to the kitchen and stood in the doorway for a moment gazing at the chaos. Shaking her head Stanzie turned and looked out at the taproom searching for a table.

A gust of wind from nowhere bellowed through the area as the chef raised his hand, the chief assistant - the sous chef - walking up to the head chef and ripping the white garments off the man's body. In its place were left glimmering robes of red and gold. The head chef tossed his white hat into the air with a flourish, the current of air taking it to parts unknown as the man's head was adorned by a red and gold chef's hat. He thrust his hands skywards, flames flying from all the mobile cooking stations all at once in a magnificent display of flames and light, bursting upwards as a cloud of doves flew out of the kitchen and through the door, back onto the streets.

Sous-Chef Kaji threw his hands towards the head chef, shouting "Warrior Chef Hai declares the opening of..."

"MAAAAGGGGGNEEEEESSSIIUUUUMMMM CCCCCHHHHEEEEEEFFFFFFFAAARRRUUU!!!!!" Hai shouted as the music reached a fever pitch, all going dark in the restaurant for a moment. When the lights raised, four warrior chefs stood, all ready for magnesium chef combat, only waiting for the sous-chef to introduce them.

The sous-chef waved towards the nearest competitor, a man standing only five foot five but as wide as a wall. Wearing a pear of black spectacles and with tanned features, he was garbed in little more than a blue mawashi.

"For the Blue Team, specializing in the art of Sumo Cooking, "ASA AKINORI!"

He then turned to a man dressed in all red armor, face covered by a helmet. "And here, representing the red team, is knightly Daman Kara!"

From nowhere a blast of black smoke arose from one of the cooking stations, a man garbed all in black appearing, his face hidden all except for his eyes. "Representing the black team and ninjitsu chefs everywhere, Oda Shingen!"

Finally, the sous-chef waved towards a competitor adorned a bronze helmet and breastplate, with grieves to match. "And finally, the spartan cook king, Aetos Manis!"

The head chef leapt to the top of a table, turning his butcher's knife towards Katt. "CHALLENGER! You have one hour to prepare a three course meal consisting of an appetizer, main course and dessert! You may use any of the ingredients we have wheeled here before you!" He waved the knife towards the bar, where platters of ingredients lay in wait, some chilled via conjuration to keep them frozen. "The judging will be done by a panel of my choosing! And finally, sabotage of your enemies is completely within the rules! ARE YOU READY!?

Stanzie's gaze skipped from table to table' date=' stopping at one with a lone blue haired Hyur male. "Hmm, he's got an extra chair." Making her way over to the table she pulled out a chair and smiled. "May I?"[/quote']

((I assume that's me?))

Siben looked a little surprised at the Mi'quote that approached him, "S-sure..by all means." He nodded his head and motioned to one of the seats beside him.

"Uh...have you watched this before? I'm not quite sure what's going on."

He watched the champion chefs introductions, cradling his face in his hands and drinking in the spectacle.

"Hm, I wonder what they're going to make..."

Stanzie smiled at the Hyur and sat down. "Thanks, your table has a good view of the spectacle. I'm Stanzie." She nodded at the barmaid and when she came over Stanzie ordered a tankard of mead. "This lovely competition is a wonderful event of majestic proportions that I've heard of but, never actually seen. It should be fun." She chuckled and rested her chin on the heel of her hand.

Nana yawned just a bit as the waitress brought her a new full mug. "Well Alam dear it looks as though you'll be sitting this one out. It will be nice to see how little Katt does though..." She looked at Tai. "I do hope dinner doesn't take too long... I probably should stop off to see my sister about a ship."

Katt, a little confused why Alam backed out of the tournament, pumped herself up. She quickly grabbed a basket and rushed towards the ingredients grabbing shrimp, sea bass, spaghetti squash, garlic, carrots, lentils, tomatoes, butter, flour, sugar, eggs, and various produce, herbs, spices, oils, wines, and dairy products throwing them into her basket. She then rushed towards her station to begin cooking.

"Lovely to meet you Siben Farnsworth." Half turning in her chair Stanzie glanced at the chaos that was the kitchen and chuckled. "Oh, I've seen my share of battles. They're nothing if not entertaining." Taking a sip from her tankard she raised and eyebrow, "I take it you're new in town? Since this isn't something you're familiar with?"

Just as Shamad was getting comfortable in his chair, a hyur stepped inside. He scanned the room. When he saw Shamad he walked over and whispered into his ear. Shamad got up and followed him outside. When he came back five minutes later, his eyes were bloodshot and he was pale. He walked unsteadily to the bar and proceeded to get drunk.

Siben nodded his head, "Our ship arrived a few days ago but today was my first day out in the city..."

He watched Katt and the other chefs descend upon the ingredients and hurry back to their stations, marveling at the speed and tenacity of them all.

He looked back at Stanzie, almost staring at her for a few moments trying to think of something to say, he was never quite good at dealing with people one on one, ".......uh.......s-so what is it you do?"

Nana was working on her mug watching the proceedings when she saw odd exchange with a Hyur and him exit. Since it wasn't her business she merely turned to Alam shrugging her shoulders. "I hope you aren't too upset Alam dear but I had to see if little Katt coul pull it off you understand."

Alam nodded and as Nana turned back to watch the contest she saw the Lalafell staggar in to the bar looking quit ill. She rubbed her chin a moment considering if she should be generous in this instance. Calling the bar maid over she instructed: "Give everyone here a round of drinks on me."

The Bar doors slowly creaked open and a small cloaked figure made its way inside. Making sure to close the door behind him Lucian sighed as he wiped the water drops off his cloak then looked up to find the bar busy with customers that seemed to come from near and far, even some Lalafell were present. Looking around He spotted an empty table near the corner of the bar and took it upon himself to take a seat at it. The Bar was very active with the laughs of the townsfolk and the ring of their glasses when they gave cheers. Lucian could tell that many of the citizens here were warriors by the large swords they carried and the scars from battle. He knew this would be a great place to begin since these people would surely need some care upon their travels. Looking around at his surrounding he loved the type of style that the bar was built in and the decor really made this place lively, with the light from the chandeliers he could read his books perfectly. Lucian pulled back his hood and opened his satchel taking out an old book and placing it on the table. He carefully opened it to the bookmarked page and waited as the barmaid made his way over to him.

''Greetings and welcome, may I get you anything sir?''

Lucian looked up and smiled at the fairly cute barmaid, ''Just a Mug of ale and some sliced apple if you please''

''Of course sir'' She said returning the smile and a small bow of courtesy as she left to get him his drink.
