Experienced Roleplayer new to Mateus

I am looking to find a group of people on Mateus to RP with and am hoping to initiate contact this way.

I'm new to the server, joined a small non-rp guild with friendly people, but sadly, no rp.

 

• MMORPG background
  I started RP'ing on PK Mud servers more years ago then I feel comfortable to admit. I've been rp'ing ever since, everquest, wow, rift. I've taken breaks, the communities on some of the MMO's sadly changed, I didn't have fun anymore and left. So far my experiences on FF14 are great, I have met a  number of friendly and interesting people, so I thought may be I can venture into RP again and find here a new virtual community to call my home.
• RP experience
  I prefer personal/romantic RP over battle simulating RP. I did enjoy PKill servers on the muds but do not enjoy PVP on the modern mmo's. I also don't enjoy the simulated fights it's a bit too close to god modding for my taste (MY taste).
• Character ideas/info
  Xhiala is young and inexperienced, a bit blue eyed. She's experienced abuse and is not very trusting as a result. (I prefer to share her background story in/during the actual RP instead of lengthy forum posts)
• How did you learn about the coalition?
  Google
• What kind of a role-player are you aiming to be? (e.g. Light, medium, or heavy)
  Light to medium, my rp typically is a bit tongue in cheek, if we can't make fun it's not worth doing it. I do adhere to certain formal rules if they are necessary to make the RP interesting but do not enjoy overly formal settings and tend to be rather ironic in such a context, which then and when gets experienced as offensive. Don't want to push myself on or into any group where I don't fit in, rather have fun...
• Anything from real life you're comfortable with sharing? (Work, school, hobbies, etc.)
  Irl I'm a fiber artist, knitting and spinning mostly so I usually incorporate the one or other element of that other passion of mine in my RP.
