Ichiryu Posted November 19, 2018 Share #1 Posted November 19, 2018 Heyho, i am new to RP and want to start with a few friends from my guild a new Char to revisit the story and to add the spicy element of RP to it. I have an Idea for a Backstory in my head for my char named Daos Dalamud, a derplander^^. He is going to be an SMN or should i say, its in his blood, cuz he is an allagan.... He was trapped as a kid in Dalamud with bahamut, cuz his parents (both scientist) figured out that the Dalamud needs an living catalyst to function. So they sealed/freezed him in a crystal and put him in Dalamud. After Bahamut broke free dalamud the part he was in dropped and the system who keeps him froze (expecially the age) got a hit and dont works well, so after 5 years he starts to be an 16-18 yo derplander and get released, but dont have any memories. And then the normal event starts (he walks away from it and get to the traveler we see in the first scene, after haydlyn speaks to us).... Would it fit to the normal lore or is it bad? I plan that the group learn about him/his past, maybe figures out that he was planned as a weapon, but mommy "rescued" him to put him into bahamut cuz he have special aether.....also i plan, that maybe carbuncle has a part in his past, and that the first carbuncle gave his life, that he can survive bahamut and so on. but first in just want to focus on the start of the game. Maybe the group find informations on "allagan PCs" cuz they looked for information about dalamud but find informations about him instead... Well thats all. Quick question, because I think this is important for any other questions - what do you want your character to be? Like, what kind of personality do you want your character to have? What do you want them to do, what is their goal? Most people shy away from placing their character directly in the Main Story Quest, simply because it's considered kind of...presumptuous, I suppose. Can you accomplish what you want with your character without having them be an Allagan who somehow got preserved in Dalamud and brought back during the Calamity? Edited to Add: Also, welcome! Thx for the reply For the personlity, i found a "template" for the first attempt and i filled it with the char. Our plan is to fit into the MSQ but we want to be a lil unique, at first no1 will know that he is allagen and such stuff, but we want to figure it out from time to time, if the visit Allagan place The char should play as SMN and want to find information to his past and to be in the MSQ should suit him to get around, i want to learn as much as possible....he know nothing from this world (or time) Her ist the template i filled: LAYER ONE : THE OUTSIDE Name: Daos Dalamud Eye color: Gold Hair style/color: Black with golden wisps Height: 176 cm Clothing style: vain, but here of what other ppl say and sometime he wears what he needs to wear LAYER TWO: THE INSIDE Fears: being alone and missunderstood Guilty pleasure: Books, technical divices Biggest pet peeve: If the discription is wrote badly and not precisly Ambition for the future: Figuring out who he is and where he came from LAYER THREE: THOUGHTS First thoughts waking up: A new day to learn some stuff What they think about the most: Where do i came from?
