Yasu33 Posted August 26, 2020 Share #1 Posted August 26, 2020 Hello.. I am a vet player of FFXIV (since ARR). And it is only now that i have decided to learn and try doing some RP. It is still an enigma to me tbh.. I want to learn how to start. Also, I own a FC and wanted to incorporate light RP in our content.. So if anyone who can be nice enough to help me and teach me and show me how i can make this a great experience.. i would appreciate it! : 2 Link to comment
Lunar Posted August 26, 2020 Share #2 Posted August 26, 2020 Hi and welcome! I can't offer much help in regards to a leadership role in an FC regarding RP, but as far as just picking it up and testing the waters, I'd think starting off with some simple social RP might be the best to start! If you want to get a feel for what that would be like, you can always lurk around popular RP locations--whatever those might be on Mateus--and/or attend events where people will inevitably gather for RP, and get a feel for how others write/portray their character and pick out what you like about different styles. Roleplay has all sorts of different faucets that different players will be attracted to. Whether it's more social aspects, fighting-oriented things, monster hunter stuff, more story-driven arcs, etc. So, while this is-again-just speculation as I have no experience as an RP-FC leader, I'd say find which entertains/interests you the most, since that's what you'll be arranging and such. You want to make it as much fun for you as it will be for others! 1 Link to comment

Yasu33 Posted August 28, 2020 Author Share #4 Posted August 28, 2020 i guess one of my questions i want to ask is.. Do I have to set a theme for the RP i want to do for my fc? Link to comment
Mua Viras Posted August 28, 2020 Share #5 Posted August 28, 2020 It's easier for people to gauge interest if they know what type of events they would have available. It's usually in an FCs best interest to be upfront about what they hope to offer. Link to comment
Faye Posted August 28, 2020 Share #6 Posted August 28, 2020 You don't have to, but having a focus of some sort will be something a lot of RPers will look for in an FC and help them decide if it's the right fit for them and their characters. Link to comment
