Brand new to the world of roleplay... I'm a little bit scared!

Greetings! As the title suggests, I am brand new to the world of role-playing and, despite being terrified of upsetting all the RP veterans out there, I am willing to give it a shot and hopefully make this a permanent hobby! I have been playing Final Fantasy XIV for two years now, but I have been avidly following the role-playing community from afar through Tumblr, Twitter and Reddit for the past year in particular. It has finally gotten to that point where I am tired of merely looking at a series of pictures of some beautifully decorated player-owned tavern or reading a snippet of someone's character description. No, I want to hear the tavern's music and interact with these beautiful characters that everyone puts so much time and effort into creating and bringing to life.

Of course, I wish to bring my creation to life too, and I am so excited to share her with everyone! Based upon all the comments, threads and general advice I have read, I will probably be creating a Carrd for her after posting this to create a synopsis of her backstory to share across multiple platforms? If anyone has better advice for me, then please share it with me! I would be so grateful!

Most people are very welcoming and understanding, especially with newer players/RPers, so never fear upsetting anyone in that regard!
