I have a question about watching cutscenes that I'm not apart of. I.E.: the first cutscenes with Garlean after you become the envoy. RP-wise, should we know this information, or skip it?

Canonically anything your character isn't present for, doesn't see a vision of with the Echo, or isn't otherwise informed about, you can probably assume the Warrior of Light doesn't know. However you choose to incorporate that in RP is up to you. Most people do not RP their character in game as the Warrior of the Light for numerous reasons and the events of the MSQ will typically only be referenced vaguely if at all.
