How to reboot a character?

I'm having a really hard time getting back into RP. I feel like rebeooting maybe an option, just so i don't remember a ton of RP plot. Is there a good way to go about this?

People retcon all the time; there's nothing wrong with it if you think it's the best option for you to get back into RP. The easiest way is typically to just start with a new character, even if it's a similar one if you still liked the concept of your character.
