Flamel Eldgamel Posted July 28, 2013 Share #1 Posted July 28, 2013 This is a short poem written by Flamel. It is based off of the short times when he slips consciously into the Void. When this happens, he remains motionless, staring; completely oblivious to anything around him. Nothing stirs him until he comes back himself. These 'excursions' are one of his main reasons for researching Black Magic. The Void I fall in once more, to the black emptiness. No light shines, or pierces the darkness. I hear the screams. I hear the cries. Of things unknown, and hidden from my eyes. They are there, watching; every move I make. But the fear keeps me still, with every breath I take. I close my eyes, and pray it a dream. But prayers go unanswered in The Void, it would seem. Be gentle... 1 Link to comment
Desmond Aryll Posted July 28, 2013 Share #2 Posted July 28, 2013 Really nice. I reminds me of the first moments of the game where your character is floating in the darkness. Link to comment
Navarre Posted July 28, 2013 Share #3 Posted July 28, 2013 Really liked the last two lines. The "it would seem" is really great understatement. Due to the shortness of the lines, I kept wanting them to rhyme. That's more about the sheer amount Pope I've had to read. Thank you for sharing. Link to comment
D R E N Posted July 30, 2013 Share #4 Posted July 30, 2013 I too really like the last stanza/last 4 lines. Great work! Link to comment
