J'rakh Tia Posted August 23, 2013 Share #1 Posted August 23, 2013 --MMORPG background I've sampled a variety of MMOs, including the most notorious of the lot, WoW. I gave Rift, AoC and several other MMOs a brief run, but none caught my fancy until Guild War's 2 came along, with its captivating art style. --RP experience I've been roleplaying on and off for the better part of five years. Here's a retinue of my previous RP characters (the relatives, mostly.) Some of these will no doubt be recycled. I also have a couple that I RP on GW2. --Character ideas/info It goes without saying that I am a major enthusiast when it comes to our long lived, pointy eared alter personae, the elves. That said, I am not yet fully sold on the Elezen, however I may dabble in one inspired by Maester Seymour. The namesake of this character from the Warcraft universe was a sorcerer roleplayed in that vein. Another idea I had draws from Basch, perhaps playing a Knight imprisoned by and tortured by the empire before the rebirth of the world granted him the opportunity to escape and find his freedom. This could potentially be a Midlander. Lastly, I like the idea of two Mi'quote twins, each devoted to a different tribe when split from birth. They will have been born minutes apart upon the transition from an astral to an umbral month, and be indistinguishable in all but eyes and skin tint. --How did you learn about the coalition? Through Theodric, who has the great distinction of being my partner out of the game. --What kind of a role-player are you aiming to be? It depends on how creative I feel at any given point. Some days I prefer to simply bash (or rather, conflagrate) pixelated skulls, on others I am more sociable and apt to invest in more plot-driven roleplay. --Anything from real life you're comfortable with sharing? When I'm not working, I am usually reading, preferably economics or philosophy. I also like indulging in the odd bit of music, which oscillates between anything from trance music to metal. Most of my RPG experience out of the game derives from classics like the BIS games (e.g. Baldur's Gate 2) but also games like Age of Wonders 2. So, that is about it in compressed summary. On reflection, this forum could really do with a black mage emoticon! Link to comment
