((I actually have a blogspot where I post all of the screenshots there as I tell the story, but I think posting the text here will be fine too :) I plan to make another thread later on, where I post in-character stories based on her and her encounters. However, this thread and the following are just IC journal entries related to the Gilgamesh server. OOC comments are appreciated :D Also, sorry for the mini spam on the first three entries. Playing catch up.))

Diary Entry 1: Arrived at Gridania

I am not sure about my past, where I came from or where I was heading when I woke up in the wagon with three total strangers. In fact, I don't quite remember how it was I got here, but upon opening my eyes I knew this was familiar territory. The forest is a place I should call home. I don't know how it is that I know this, but certainly some answers must lie somewhere in the forest's capital--which I later deciphered was where I was headed.

I saw strange creatures that no one else in the wagon were able to see or notice. They were called moogles that made me think of fluffy marshmallows. They told me that not everyone could see them-- which makes me special. I am not too sure about that! Perhaps my lack of memory has something to do with some kind of damage to my head. So much damage that I am seeing flying, talking cats with balls on their heads. I did my best to ignore them--even if one of them rudely drank up the traveling merchant's ale.

There were two white haired children with pointed ears on the wagon. I don't recall how they got there, nor do I recall the dark skinned merchant with emerald eyes getting on board. The man didn't give me his name. None of us did, but he was friendly enough, and when we arrived he handed me a ring to help me with my travels.

I really know nothing of where I am going... where I am heading. The only solid memories I do have are my reoccurring dreams that seemed to have been clinging onto me since beyond my sorry excuse of my earliest memory. In those dreams I see the masked mage. The crimson facade that hugs his pale face reminds me of blood. The times I've had dreams with him feel as though they were countless. The most recent one was of me facing him as I wore the robes of a seasoned White Mage. A white mage... Do I have the ability to heal people..? The weathered cane by my side gives further notion that my assumption must be correct.

I went to see the head mistress of the Adventure Guild. The Seedseers, or I should say, the protectors of this land are very wary of me. I feel that they shouldn't be. After all, as I later came to realize we all are suffering from the same mental wash in our memory makers. We don't remember anything that's happened five or so years ago-- Though for me, it goes a little ways longer than that. I don't remember what I had been doing before today. I do remember my name being Dibujo... Eskri Dibujo, and that the forest is a safe place to be. The forest is where I should be.

I hope the people here ease up around me. I'm not a bad person, I don't think. In truth, I rather help.

Diary Entry 2: Strange Visions

It feels very natural to practice the arcane arts through borrowing power from the forces of nature. When I first started using my magic, I was overwhelmed by the surge of power that I tapped into. I am still new to this, so my attacks, and my powers of protection are average at best. I met my guild master, Brother E-Sumi Yan. Though he looks like a small child with horns, he is actually much older than I am. He is my guide through all this, and through him I am able to learn how to hone my powers even more and help people.

Borrowing the powers from nature is a must. Going through the trial of earth made me realize just how powerful nature can be. However, I met a girl who wishes to go against the teachings of the guild. She was able to cast spells of healing without going through the trial of the elements! She refuses to listen to our teacher, or anyone who has been studying the arts far longer than she. I wonder why...

But I can say that the child's ways did get on my nerves. An echo of a disapproving growl rang within my mind when she utterly refused to listen to her peers. Students should listen to their teachers! Questions should be asked! Rules are established for a reason-- but only after knowing the reason are we allowed to dabble outside the rules--because then you know what you are getting yourself into...

Perhaps long ago I was strictly taught this and those lessons have carried over to this new life of mine. Still, I do hope that girl will listen to reason.

After that, I have ran a few errands before stumbling upon two strange characters named Yda and Papalymo. I only knew their names because they have spoken it to one another. There was no proper introduction because we had to fight off some gigantic, man eating trees. It was after that, that I felt myself get sick... I saw a crystal on the ground, and an agonizing headache was pounding hard in my skull... I had a vision. A vision that made little to no sense.

When I snapped back out of it, the small one, Papalymo, told me that I was suffering from Aether poisoning, I think? Whatever it was, I didn't like it. I am quite suspicous of these two. I will have to report them to a seedseer. The strange, shiny things they wore on their faces, and their clothes are very outlandish. It makes me feel a bit uneasy, actually. Yes, I will report them, just in case.

Diary Entry 3: Clay Golem

The man over at the bannock told me not to worry over the strangers, Papalymo and Yda. Both the lalafell and hyur female were to be trusted. I was still a bit wary over this, of course. Something about the devices they carry--like the strange steel-like pieces on their faces that make high pitched noises really bother me. But according to the people of the wood, Papalymo and Yda have been helping Gridania for a time now.

I did a few favors for the locals. Some of them were actually pretty challenging. Like the errand to slay those raptor-like creatures and retrieve some of their eggs. Those beasts are viscous, and I did not leave the scene unscathed. Luckily for me, I was able to patch up most of my hurts on my own. I have nature's power to thank for that.

Then, I came upon something I could not ignore. There were people who needed my aid, and I was sent off to bring these bodies back to safety. One by one, I got them back on their feet and sent them on their way back. When I got to the last person, I was surprised to hear the strange accented voice that I have only heard in my visions.

Not too far away from where I stood was a masked mage. Something inside me screamed with familiarity--but this man who stood before me was not the same as the one I dreamed of. This one wore a mask of ebony color, while the one in my dreams wore red. Also, their voices, though accented the same way, were not the same.

The masked one had sent out a clay golem. I fought it off and lured it away from the hurt magic user. When I defeated the creature, I noticed how frightened the masked mage had been. How could -I- defeat his creation? What was I? I wanted to laugh and tell him what sort of imbecile allows him to parade around his powers this way. Besides, why hurt these innocents? What was his purpose in doing this?

He fled from the scene of course-- which I was actually glad about. I did not want to kill him. I still have questions that need answers to. Questions like, why is it that I feel as though I've known their accented tongue from some other time, some other life?

Shortly after he left, Papalymo and Yda appeared. It is suspicious they would show up now--but they tried to assure me that they are the 'good guys.' Then, something strange happened to me, and visions, or I should say, memories that weren't mine came flooding into my head. I saw Yda and Papalymo in the wood. I can't quite remember the pieces now, but this obviously left me feeling pretty lost when I came back to reality.

When I snapped out of it, they both helped the hurt magic user get up from the floor and took him back where it was safe. Papalymo, however, looked at me as though he knew something about me. What is that one hiding from me? Something tells me they aren't the enemy. Still, I think I will go ahead and talk to the woman at the Adventure's Guild.

Diary Entry 4: Bandit

Before meeting with the Adventure's Guild, I had a few other things to take care of. One of which revolving around thieves. I despise thieves, especially ones that snatch away Chocobo eggs from their mother. I am actually very fond of the birds! I had to ask around the area to see if the locals saw anything suspicious. It took me all night, but the trail led me to a moogle protecting the egg from a no good bandit. With the moogle's help, I fought off the bandit and his minions. I explained the situation to the moogle and that I came to take the egg back to its mother. The moogle trusted me to take the egg back, and when I did, the chocobo handler was very relieved to see that the egg was just fine. Supposedly the egg is from a well bred chocobo. When I explained what happened, the woman, Keitha I think her name was, thinks the moogle was the same one who saved her life a while back during a forest fire. It is why she named the place after it.

Afterward, I went to check in with the woman at the adventure's guild. As I was doing that, I met a very small Miqo'te boy. He was checking in, scribbling down his name in the registration book and he looked over at me. He had a very interesting look about him. I never met someone quite as colorful. I guess I was staring too much, because he stared right back. Unsure what to do, I excused myself and was on my way to leave, when suddenly he poked me and ran off. With the topic of thieves fresh in my mind, I assumed he took something from me. So I ran after him. It was a crazy chase. I nearly got him several times, but he kept slipping away. The guy is very fast, and small enough to easily hide within the thick vegetation that grows around here.

When I finally did catch him, I realized that for whatever reason, he doesn't like to speak much. I got to find out his name on the registration book since he was being difficult with me. His name was... Jin'sae Hara, I think. Also, after figuring all this out I was embarrassed to find that he had not stolen anything from me. However, he was homeless. Like me in the beginning of this journey, he had no money, no food, nothing. Didn't even have a bed. So I showed him around the town, and gave him 750 gil, and 3 bottles of potion to get him started. I lost him a few times while introducing him to the markets--I swear he is like a little kid. He kept running off and vanishing because something attracted his attention. By the end of the night, when the sun was rising, I was too tired to even stand. I don't remember how he did it, but I guess I took pity on him and booked him a room. Just as I was telling him farewell, I saw a blonde haired Hyur telling me I should go ahead and check-out one of the inn rooms. I was embarrassed someone saw me nearly fall down and took note of it.

Diary Entry 5: Envoy

The Elder Seedseer, Kan-E Senna, had appointed me to be her personal envoy, a job that dwarfs the importance of the other tasks I have done in the Black Shroud. Being the Seedseer’s envoy was a task far more important than fighting corrupted insects, or helping the locals with their farming and thieving problems. As Kan-E’s envoy, I had to deliver a letter to the other leaders of the nations. From what I could gather from my warped visions, and the events related to the Masked Mages, the Ixal and the threat toward the Guardian Tree, I have a feeling that a great darkness is coming. We all need to prepare to stand up against it once more, and I am responsible in delivering this missive to make the union of the nations possible.

I had fought the Masked Mage that set out the Clay Golem at me from before. Yda and Papalymo had to help me bring him down. He is dead now, and I am pretty disappointed about it. I did want to speak to him. I still have many questions, like what is he exactly? And why is it that his robes and accented tongue seem so familiar to me? Although I did not get to question, it was Papalymo that shed some light on the matter at least. [Name of the mages to be added. I forgot what papalymo called them X-x]

I am having visions, visions that do not directly relate to me and these happen while I am still conscious, like the time I defeated the clay golem, and again after I attended the GreenBliss ceremony with Kan-E Senna. The vision during Greenbliss was actually a lot more intense than the others, and even made me black out.

After those visions, I found myself in my room. Someone had brought me here after I had passed out during the ceremony. I still felt out of it, and no one was there, so I went back to sleep. When I did, I had a disorienting dream and dubbed them as memories. I saw things, like a tall, dark skinned Miqo’te showing me strange contraptions that glinted under a blue light. I saw a room of bubbling flasks, floating books, and odd devices that whistled, flashed and ticked all around me. This was the first time I can recall I had a dream like this, although it feels as though I had experienced it before-- like the dreams of the Crimson Masked Mage.

Diary Entry 6: First Drink

I took the airship for the first time and went to Limsa Lominsa. The city holds no sense of familiarity to me, and I got lost looking for the Admiral. I did find her, and when I was about to buy my ticket to go to Ul'dah to deliver the last letter, someone touched my shoulder. I turned around and saw a Hyur. We both said the same thing at the same time when we saw one another, something along the lines of, "You look familiar.' I then realized he was the same Hyur I met at the auction house the other night.

He invited me for a drink, where we ended up talking so much. It was my first time drinking alcohol, and I admitted to him that it was my first drink. He learned a lot about our backgrounds. Apparently he is from a distant land that have names that hold no meaning to Eorzea. He was transported here, warped by some black mage and he arrived in the middle of the desert. He really has no real desire to return home, and sees this sudden fluke as a chance to sell more of his wares. He is a traveling merchant after all.  A traveling merchant who is good with a sword.

I told him how I am suffering from a mental wash, and can only recall certain things about me. He thinks I might have hit my head pretty hard for that to happen. I am wondering if that's the case as well... After all, everyone seems to have working memories except for me. Where they cant recall some things, like the warriors of light, I can't recall anything before that wagon ride over to Gridania.

In the middle of our conversation I realized we didn't even give each other our names, meanwhile we had been pouring our life history to one another. We had a good laugh about that. Aye, I can write a novel here of the things we spoke of, if only I can remember it all. Though the alcohol tasted pretty nasty, it did give me a relaxed effect. I tried to get more out of it, but the liquor was watered down. We both promised each other that we will find a better bar some other time and will drink something that isn't cheap swill.

Also, to my surprise, he is actually 27 years old-- 10 years older than I am. I really thought he was in his late teens, or barely in his 20's. He admitted to me that a few people believed he was just a child. We then departed ways, and I realized a lot of time had passed by. I ran to my next destination to deliver the missive in Ul'dah.

In the middle of it, I heard Jin'sae sniffling. I think the boy slept out in the rain! Even after I gave him a copy of my room key to him. I did mail him some food to eat and told him to drink some potion and rest up. I am real worried about him. I ought to see him in person and make sure the boy didn't kill himself.

Diary Entry 7: CatNip

After delivering the missive to the large, scarred man in Ul'dah, I wanted to take some time to myself. When I had visited Limsa Lominsa I saw that the arcane magic I study as a conjurer can be put into a different use. There are books and strange mathematical equations revolved in this method, and I learned that Aether can be put together in such a way that it will create a creature that can help defend me during battle.

I learned the basics, but I go with what feels right to me and what my gut tells me instead of what is logical I suppose. I think this has to do with how I studied under the conjurer guild leader, Brother E-sumi Yan. So far, as a conjurer you have to let yourself go and embrace nature. It is a more natural way about going with things.

It is actually pretty hot out here by the sea, and the sun is extremely bright, it hurts my eyes. I made my way over to the culinary guild, where I saw there were many seats with umbrellas.  A few people were sitting around, eating, drinking-- and two male Miqo'te's were verbally fighting. A dark skinned Hyur tried to break it off, I think. I was curious so I watched for a bit. Thankfully, no one actually fought.

I asked a white haired Miqo'te if I can sit beside her, and I was so glad to be under the shade of the umbrella. She ordered some berry smoothies and I decided to try some out. I loved the cold feel of the glass against my face, but the taste of the berry was fantastic! A Miqo'te who sat across from me was eating taffy. It looked interesting, so I decided to order some of the candy for myself, although watching the Miqo'te fall asleep after eating half the bowl of sweets was pretty confusing. I think he had a sugar coma. -giggles- When she woke up, she didn't even seem to realize she had fallen asleep.

The waitress was very nice. Her name was Maya, and I think it was a real pretty name. The lalafell girl and the white haired miqo'te were pleasing to listen to while I drank and nibbled on my candy. I think next time I am going to order some actual food and some wine-- maybe I should invite Jin over sometime, although I won;t let him drink the wine. I am not sure if he should... Also, I can only assume the wine is better than the stuff I drank at the Drowned Wench.

At one point a strange, cloaked figure sat beside us. He was smoking something odd, but I can't get the scent out of memory. It smelled real, real good. Like smoke and herbs. He was very rude though but left before he could truly be missed. Although, I wish I knew what that thing was.

Also, I got to hear and see Jin for a bit today. He doesn't seem sick anymore--I wish I had to chance to speak more to him but he kind of ran away-- I didn't feel like giving much chase though. This heat and all the studies I've been doing really put me out of it.
