Next Tavern Night: Saturday, February 22th 2014 starting at 8pm EST

Where: Upper La Noscea, Camp Bronze Lake

 

The Echo Knights are proud to host Tavern Nights at Camp Bronze Lake! Come and join us for a pint after a hard day of adventuring or grab your swimsuit and take a dip in the hot springs! This event is open to all RPers, but is especially friendly to newer roleplayers.

 

There will be an open stage for storytelling using the /yell chat channel. Share your tales of heroism with your fellow adventurers! Amaze the crowd with your latest epic poem! Garleans have your companions feeling jaded and down? Maybe you could melt their icy hearts with a cool island song! Theater enthusiasts and creative talent are welcome! We'll try to keep things going with both OOC and IC activities like introductions, icebreakers, and trivia. Suggestions are welcome.

 

Volunteers for staff members needed! We require assistance in the following areas:

 

• Bartenders - Mix drinks!
  
• Security - Be the muscle at the party and handle rowdy (hopefully in-character) guests.
  
• Escorts - Provide escorts from other zones and possibly tours around the town.
  
• Activity Organizers - Handle the open stage, announcements, and other activities.
  
• Merrymakers - This staff member can mingle like any other guest, but is on the lookout for engaging newer RPers or people not having anyone to talk with. It's no fun feeling left out!
  

Everyone is free to drop in and out of their roles as they wish during the event. Feel like doing another role or being a guest for a while? We encourage that! If you're interested in helping, please send a message to L'kalya Vanih or Nyla Starsong.

 

This is now a regular monthly event! Please check back here to see when the next Tavern Night will be hosted! Scheduling dependent on staff availability and coordination with other event organizers. We will try our best to schedule around other events, so if your event time conflicts with Tavern Night for that month, please send me a message and we can work something out.

::waves:: Hello everyone! ^.^ Nyla here. Just wanted to say how excited I am about this event. This is the first event being held by the Echo Knights! Soo, I hope to see many Gilgamesh(ers) there!! We'll be having different activities going on for people to participate in..any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated! (especially from any of you who have been to tavern events before! please feel free to message myself or L'kalya!). We're hoping to make this a recurring event, so please make an effort to be there. Hello everyone!

We're off to a great start! So far we have a few people lined up for Bartenders and Security personnel. I wanted to post better guidelines on staff roles, but please note that these are merely suggestions and I encourage staff members to be creative and open to improvisation:

 

- Bartenders - Mix drinks!

- Merrymakers - I figured this staff member could be just like any other guest, but instead be more proactive with engaging newer RPers or people not having anyone to talk with since it's no fun feeling left out.

 

I intend to keep the staff responsibilities as creative and light as possible so they can still enjoy the event. Of course, everyone is welcome to switch things up during the event if they would like to do something else or just feel like being a guest. Please let me know if you have any questions!

That's great, Z'ythe! We do need a guide for people if they get lost on the way to Camp Bronze Lake. You can also think about doing tours around the town, if anybody is interested.

To staff members:

This is great, everyone! We have quite the list of staff members for the event. Like I said before, staff should still have plenty of fun while fulfilling their responsibilities. A few things to note so we can remain organized:

• Pre-event (optional): I ask that staff members be available at the location 30 minutes before the scheduled event time to get set up, so 7:30pm EST. I'm not strict about the time, that's just when I'll be on-site for questions. If you're really good at playing Johnny-on-the-spot this isn't required.
  
• Linkshell (again, optional): I'll be handing out a Linkshell to staff members to keep in touch during the event probably within the next few days. Not required to take it, but it'll help everyone stay organised, swap roles, call for backup, etc. Feel free to chuck the shell afterwards, it isn't edible. Food joke I'm so sorry.
  

If you're interested in holding a role, there's still plenty of time to sign up!

 

To guests:

If you need an escort to the location, there will be an escort leaving from Zypher Gate to Middle La Noscea in Limsa Lominsa 15 minutes prior to the event start time, so 7:45pm EST.
