"No mercy for the guilty, bring down their lying sun, blood so silver black by night, upon their faces pale white."

The wind blew cold in the chill night of the Coerthas Highlands. Fresh snow fell, beginning to cover the now-crimson stained powder that had fallen previously. A hooded and cloaked figure sheathed it's blade as a second cloaked figure worked to retrieve it's axe from the skull of one of the dead brigands. It finally yielded with a sickening squelch and the figure nodded to the first hooded one, slinging the great axe over it's back. The duo moved through the great oaken doors of the stone building they had fought to enter, it's spires and pikes speaking greatly of Ishgardian architecture. Moving stealthily through the musty, old corridors, the two finally came upon a great round room, with nine elegant seats arrayed across the far wall. The fifth chair, arrayed in the middle, was the grandest, and most elaborate, sporting two dragons that snaked their way up each riser on the back, and came together at the top upon which sat an intricate symbol that resembled an eye spiraling inward. All along the walls, interspersed by wrought iron windows, were banners bearing a similar symbol, regaled in green and gold.

The hooded figure stepped forward slowly, analyzing the room. Behind it, the second figure entered, and in the candlelight it was revealed to be a male Duskwight, his face a stern stone gaze. The hooded one's breath was bated, as if suppressing great excitement with great discipline and temperance. Kneeling near the center, the figure removed it's hood. The face of a young woman, bordered by shock blonde hair, emerged from the shadow, her odd blue and green eyes alight with excitement and wonder. She brushed aside some dust and cobwebs that intruded on a shallow depression in the middle of the chamber, revealing once again the same spiral eye insignia. She stood and looked back at the Duskwight.

"Gather the others, and make ready our forces, Salvius. The Spiral Eye has awakened, and must stand ready to judge Eorzea's sinners."

OOC Info: The Knights of the Spiral Eye is a RPPvE FC that engages in mostly RP content (like 90%) with plenty of members willing to aid others in instances and primal battles. They are a band of vigilantes that hunt incontrovertibly guilty criminals and bring them to justice when the law fails to do so. As such they have no regard for due process and the court system and can sometimes be seen as brutal vigilantes and thugs, but the Spiral Eyes engage in NO acts of a dishonorable nature and seek only to punish those who do. Don't think they are a simple band of vigilantes, however. The Spiral Eyes look after and protect one another as if they were all of the same blood. They believe in the tenets of honor, nobility, and chivalry, and take very seriously crimes within their own ranks, as well as betrayals between Shield-Brothers and Sisters. If you are looking for a friendly, active, eventful RP guild with a mature twist, then look no further!

Recruitment officers: Llaine Tetheros, Salvius Dunois, and Rinria Eldred. PM any of us in game for an interview and invite! And don't forget to register an application on the FC forums!

Meet the command: Llaine Tetheros.

Llaine is a member of the house Tetheros of Ul'dah, a wealthy merchant family. She gave up her cushy life in Ul'dah to pursue being a Holy Knight of Halone, and sought to reform the Order of the Spiral Eye, which her great-grandfather was the last surviving member of. Though she is a stern commander and a fierce fighter, she cares for the Spiral Eyes under her command greatly, and would gladly aid them in whatever way she can.

Resistant captain: Salvius Dunois

Salvius came from a family that aided the dragon wars, not being of noble blood any thoughts of acknowledgment were distinct fantasies. Even so the shadow his elder brother cast was a great one as his expectations were to follow or succeed his elder sibling. This led the over zealous young Elezen into leaving home and following a path that quickly derailed that ambition he had. Over the years he ran back into a familiar face, that being of Llaine Tetheros. The so called lost spark found something to cling to once more, a purpose.

Salvius can be a bit standoffish upon first meeting but that fades in due time. Though somewhat reluctant to fight he has his reasons for this, the same reasons that would give him no pause to assist his fellows even if all odds were stacked against them. Though he doesn't like combat and tries to avoid it if possible doesn't mean he's not quick on his feet. Having plenty of prior experiences to joining Llaine on her quest to rebuild the fallen order.
