First of all I'd like to apologise if this is not the appropriate portion of the forums to post something like this... I tried looking around, I saw a welcoming place, but I believe that is for an introduction type of thing :3

 

Anyway...

 

I am a roleplayer, maybe some people here have seen me rp around (probably mostly EU), and I am looking for a roleplay community that would suit my character's interests more. I like some tavern RP, but that only takes me so far in fun hehe... I'm seeking something deeper in RP; a group of people and/or story/environment I can relate to and have loads of fun in.

 

As such, I post this plea... I hope I was clear enough and that there are people willing to try to receive me into their rp!

I think that this is just the right thread to post this in. While I can appreciate your not posting character details yet, I do have to say that it makes it hard to offer an appropriate LS or FC for your purpose if... if we don't know what you're looking for ICly.  <3

 

The Grindstone Free Company is a neutral good group that works beneath the Immortal Flames in Ul'dah. They generally aim to help fighters and wayward warriors, refugees and slaves, to get out from under whatever chains or burdens afflict them. They offer food, housing, training, and armor as well as jobs to see that their members can get a solid footing before they set back out into Eorzea. Essentially, they want to plant seeds of loyalty, honor, and kindness into individuals who have been at the whims of their more malicious brethren. Anyone who wants to try to help and offer their support by organizing, leading, training, healing, or providing a diplomatic service is also welcome.

There are a lot of good RP Free Companies with solid groups of people where you can have loads of fun.

 

I think that to find the one that fits you, your theme, your style, and your likes/dislikes we need a bit more information about you and what you're looking for.

Thank you for the super swift Replies!

 

I went to the Traveller's Guild site and I do think what they have is right up my alley! Or at least my interpretation of it is ... I however do not wish to limit myself to just FC roleplay! The more people and groups I can get in contact with, the better if I may say so!

 

My character at the moment would look like some sort of Mercenary, a strong one, doing dangerous jobs. I have played him out to work for just about anyone that would hire him, as long as he thinks motives are "legit" ... Of course this sometimes gets him on wrong sides, which then he proceeds to dispense furious veangence!

 

He is in fact a Monk, who (and for the sake of informing people) has lost his focus. His tastes, and his life experience, make him enjoy fighting greatly; but due to this loss, he feels aimless... Thus he keeps doing mercenary work in an attempt to regain that which truly would drive him. IC, he is at some sort of denial phase at the moment, thinking that being able to fight and win (IC personal plotwise, he hasn't been very inclined to be defeated ), the sheer adrenaline and pleasure from the moment being what he believes is the drive he needs... Though his master does not agree

 

I hope thats enough to give a soft image of the character's profile. I dont want to give too much, cuz I want it to unfold IC

So Even if I The Traveller's guild accepts me (or not <.<) (Yes! I made an application! ) I would like to keep in contact with guilds/FC that would be able to "use" my character for their devices and plots. His IC situation would allow him to do so; and for the sake of character development, it would be beneficial for it to be so!

 

Of course, I will strive to create fun and stimulating rp for those around me, should they have me amidst their rp

I don't have a FC, but mercenaries could (?) be interested in the LS I'm trying to put together, Wings. Basically, it's an "adventurer's association" with well-paying jobs that will sponsor you. You need to be an affiliate, but as long as you can finish the jobs they ask you to, you're good.
