I haven't really heard anything about the MMO in a long time, which is going to be full of idiots I imagine. The last real update was:

 

CCP is going back into lockdown while it continues work, as much to spare itself the need to churn out a constant stream of content to remind people it's still busy as to keep its secrets. It's not like it has to show much, with Eve paying the bills and no fixed deadline, as much as we want to see more. There's exactly no chance of a closed beta this year, with a release not likely until 2015, and everything seen/heard still subject to change.

 

Oh, except for one thing, straight from McDonough's lips to the hearts of players everywhere.

unlikely eve players are smart folk and very good making business if you haven't played eve keep you mouth shut. i don't see wow players to play this its out from that market

 

But it won't be EVE players; they will stick to playing what they have invested their time and money into. WoD Online will be every LARPer and vampire fanatic in existence. A good portion of which are complete idiots. And don't tell people to shut up unless you're looking to start a fight, you illiterate ass.

To be completely fair, WoD is not a special case by any means. Every online game is going to have idiots, so it should be expected. The WoD MMO will have more than its fair share of idiotic vampire LARPers/fanatics just as FFXIV has more than its fair share of idiotic weeaboos. (Yeah, that's right. I said it.) The level of stupidity in the player base is not going to be any higher than usual. At least not significantly, anyway.

 

But, just like RP griefers, we can easily just ignore them.

Izzy, you are extremely naive if you honestly think that every single EVE player is intelligent. Just because it's a CCP game doesn't mean it will necessarily be played by the same kinds of folks who play EVE (all of which, as I just said, are not necessarily smart). Not to mention that you're actually quite wrong in your final statement. While the target audience for this game is aimed at neither player base, you're gonna see a LOT more WoW vets interested in that game than you will EVE vets. It's closer to their niche.

So I'm a bit out of the loop, has White Wolf said anything about the complete edition of Mage: the Ascension? I'd love to get my greedy little paws on a copy of that.

I think they're just getting ready to physically print Werewolf 20th, from some quick googling it looks like Mage's kickstarter may end November of this year so they're definitely looking at it!

 

My old troupe played Mage after I moved- I never got the chance to dive headfirst into it.  I did play one (briefly lived) tabletop game with it that was a helluva lot of fun.  My husband kept breaking the DM though. >.>

After seeing what CCP did to the Camarilla Fan Club (though you could lay a good chunk of that at the feet of White Wolf Games themselves), I have very low expectations for this MMO.

 

But, we'll see.
