Bicolour eyes had remained glued to the sand the whole time, the girl's expression and ears an image that eloquently described her sadness. As always, she was nothing short of an open book.

K'mih listened to K'nahli's words in silence, not daring to raise her eyes to her. Everything seemed to be upside down lately; K'ailia's punishment for trying to return home, K'nahli's distant attitude, even the sharp coldness she witnessed in her father's eyes the previous day. It felt as if her family was falling apart, and it was undoubtedly affecting her.

She was here to help K'tahjha, but that wasn't the only reason. She'd wanted to check on K'nahli, to talk to her and see if she was alright. Perhaps she'd wanted to see that her worries had been unfounded, that everything was actually okay. But nothing was. The uncomfortable sensation of being upside down was still there, worsening.

Inside her confused mind, a few things were still clear to her. For one, K'mih loved K'nahli. For another, she also knew how difficult her sister could be. What she couldn't accept, however, was her cruelty. The archer's comments about K'tahjha's selfishness pulled at K'mih's inner anger, until a frown was drawn in her forehead. That's when she finally got the courage to raise her eyes towards her elder sister, tense like the little insecure thing she was, and still somehow defiant.

"K'tahjha has been alone for so long, s-she just wants to feel that she finally has a family! There's nothing wrong about that!"

Oh, she was angry. Angry to always be left in the dark. She didn't even know what had happened to K'nahli the previous day; her sister wouldn't speak about it, wouldn't talk to her as if she was nothing, for nothing seemed important enough in K'nahli's life. Even if everything was still there.

"I know you always... prefer spending time on your own without anyone bothering you, but... b-but..."

As if letting her sudden thoughts out entailed a huge effort, her damp eyes closed tightly and her voice raised from her throat. The impulse of yelling helped her message to come out freely.

"K'nahli still has no idea of what being completely alone feels like!!"

She'd yelled at her dear sister without thinking, she knew. She'd regret it later, when she'd lose K'nahli like K'tahjha had. Oh, but anger and anxiety were there at that right moment and K'mih didn't know how to handle either of them. Unable to look at her sister anymore, the young miqo'te started running back to the camp.

The anger in K'mih's voice reclaimed K'nahli's watchful gaze as large, ruby eyes that echoed interest fell back upon her tiny form that seemed even smaller from atop the rock where she stood, a rock whose height almost seemed to grow further and further with each passing moment. The archer remained silent as she allowed her younger sister to speak. Outside of the look in her eyes however, she may have otherwise continued to appear unphased.

"K'nahli still has no idea of what being completely alone feels like!!"

Kmih's final words before she abandoned the scene behind her in a flash of anger.

The older sister's maroon eyes followed the younger as she quickly departed. K'mihs reaction was unusual for her ever-happy nature, but expected by K'nahli in some form nonetheless.

"Is that supposed to make it okay..?" the miqo'te sighed quietly to herself before tearing her eyes away from the fleeting form of K'mih. Her eyes once again found themselves drawn back out toward the now-uninteresting sands where her mind sought the chance to wander as she stared blankly out across the monotone landscape for some time before swallowing hard against a complicated feeling.

"You've done it now, K'nahli" the girl thought aloud to herself with a false laugh that was quickly shadowed by an equally false smile. She carried her hand up to comb through her silky hair, laced with wind-carried grains of sand, as she spoke - bringing it to a rest in the form of a closed fist against her cheek before allowing it to slip back down by her side once again. The dazzling glare of the brilliant sun caused her restless and watery eyes to glisten softly in the warming light while she remained still for a moment longer, captivated my her own thoughts as she had been the past few days. The young archer's gaze then turned back down toward her bow that lay patiently alongside her. She stared at it for a moment with uncertainty, blinking slowly in the process.

She didn't want to train today either.
