Seeking Betters and Contacts [Balmung]

The way we are going to have it is that there would be check points along a designated course with non-partial observers at each location to ensure that the racers follow the track, or at least mostly follow the track. At the end/finish line there will be another non-partial observer who will take a screen shot in order to determine which chocobo and rider crosses the finished line first.

 

We were thinking of having an entrance fee which would then be divided in some way between the top three placers.

Yea I was thinking each corner or checkpoint would have a spotter...who would also be capable of killing off a mob or raising a downed rider should something like that happen.

 

Admittedly, the logistics of all the moving parts coming together to make it work would be pretty damn large....but at the same time, I haven't seen this sorta thing done in MMOs before, either, so I know that it'd be a draw on uniqueness alone.

We've been working on this for a month or so, besides how betting would work we've got most of the detail ironed out. But with Raeras being interested in becoming a bookie then we might not even worry about that part anymore .

 

All we'd really need help with is racers and/or people who generally just want to attend for some fun, laid back RP.

Chocobo Fights should be called Roc Fights if people had those. Not sure how that would ever work if it was to be done or it can just be /emoted. ((and I'd cry over it just a bit))

It is held In Central Thanalan, near the gates. Around the encampment where the fate "Cowardly Challenger" appears. Saturday Evenings at 9/10 EST. Cap'n Von, would obvious be interested in better; when he isn't cracking skulls himself. :thumbsup:

Sounds good! Rae particpated in her first one last weekend but she usually observes. I don't know if I'll be making it this weekend, but next weekend I might see about having a more organized betting for it if enough people would be interested ^-^
