R'yndae Posted March 1, 2014 Share #1 Posted March 1, 2014 I. Basic Info 1 - Kind of important, but I am an extremely shy person. It's hard for me to walk up to people I don't know and initiate interactions with them and, for a time, it takes me a bit to send back replies at times. A lot of people may not understand it, but it's a source of anxiety on my end (a very large source of anxiety, which I hate). So if you want to interact or something, giving me a heads up would help tremendously... though, understand I may not interact with people in large groups at first, unless I know everyone pretty well. Sort of to say... if I don't reply quickly, or my character's being more quiet (which he does tend to be, anyway), don't take it as a loss of interest. 2 - Usually I don't find this particularly important to state, but lately some stuff's changed my mind on it. I am a part of the wide and vast LGBT+ acronym and if people within that descriptor bother you irl, then I'd rather not interact with you. I simply don't need to deal with more instances of people going on extremely miserable tirades about how it makes me a wretched person. 3 - I'm still new and learning to MMO RPing, it's not my comfort zone in other words. The more I do it, though, the better and more comfortable with it I'll become. On that note, I have been RPing on forums for the better of 8 years, so... take that for what it's worth. x.x Characters: Kit Azrael, R'yndae Tia Primary character: Kit Azrael Linkshells: N/A Primary RP linkshell: N/A [*]II. RP Style Amount of RP (light, medium, heavy): Light or Medium is generally, probably, better for me granted I'm still pretty new to RPing in MMO's and having a more relaxed, lighthearted type of atmosphere is better for me (not getting jumped on for an error, or mistakenly pressing spacebar at the wrong time). On that note, though, I was with a Heavy RP guild in a separate game for a time, who were all fun as they were understanding of me being completely new then and weren't particularly... strict, I suppose? All can work, just so long as everyone's there to have fun and not get uppity about small things. Views on RP combat and injuries: I don't like RPing combat, namely I don't know how it works in a MMO and the only time I did it I had no idea (well, no one did) what we should be doing and it ended up a chaotic mess that was, in the end, struck from the record. Injuries, though, I'm usually not... adverse to? If my character does something dumb that'd get him injured, he'll be injured (but not killed, or extremely injured -- the latter only if he did something that would normally end in such a thing... like, fall off a two story bridge). Views on IC romance: I enjoy it, it's fun and adds something to RPing that isn't all dark and broody like it tends to be. On that note, it would be better if the characters grew into it together and had it evolve naturally, not forcing anything. Additionally, anything IC -is- IC I don't want repeats of the past where people dribbled it over into OOC. My characters do tend to be gay, just a fyi. Views on non-romantic RP (family ties, etc): I suppose? Though, Kit's family is sort of set up a specific way (most people from which are gone, or only knew him as a little baby and likely wouldn't recognize him now). Generally, though, I prefer to develop relationships rather than have them preexist. Views on lore: I enjoy the lore, but I am not as knowledgeable of it as I could be. So -I- may make errors, although the character is set up a bit to make those errors ICly (He's technically a Keeper, but never lived with them and never looked into his heritage, so he would be as knowledgeable as the average Lominsan Rogaedyn about Keeper matters). So, if a lore-intensive question is tossed his way, I may need a second to look it up if it's something he should know, or he'll come back with a bogus answer because he doesn't reasonably know ICly. Views on chat functions (/say, /linkshell, etc): /say I feel is for open RP's where others can overhear and join in, if they would like to. /party I tend to feel as OOC space unless stated otherwise (ie: wanting to have a more private roleplay and putting the players in a party instead of having it all take place in /say). /tell I feel the same as /party, but between two players versus a group, and usually entails more intimate matters, or matters of secrecy. /linkshell I honestly don't know, I've never been in a RP LS and do not understand how they generally work. /fc chat I hold to being OOC unless stated otherwise. [*] III. Other Info Country: USA Timezone: Central Contact info: Private Message, a /tell in game would do. I'm very much a shy, shy person so... be wary of that ^.^;; [*] [glow=blue]~Special announcements can be found in the posts below~[/glow] I'm not sure what this section is for, but sorry for being verbose... there were just some things I wanted to stress. I think I also mussed up the code... but not sure how to fix it... it's all still readable, albeit different fonts and some dots floating around >.<;; Link to comment
