Best PC/PS4 UI Setup?

Recommended Posts

So a question just popped up in my noodle about the configuration of my UI setup for both a PS4 and PC (Just wanted both in case I find a gamepad more comfortable to play with since the PS4 fully supports a keyboard and mouse, and changes the UI accordingly). I wanted to know your opinion about the location of certain UI elements on screen. I suppose it also depends on your class as to which information is more of a priority but what about a general setup?

On another note, what about the fastest way to target an enemy and switch to another enemy? And what does Focus Targeting necessarily mean? Is there an easier indicator as to when a debuff occurs on a mob?

Thanks for the help and as always, I appreciate every answer! Just trying to understand more about the game.

This is the UI setup I use. I made a new menu bar from hotbars because the nested options menu is fucking stupid. I also moved everything down to the bottom so I can see it easily while also still keeping an eye on the field. I feel like this setup is the most efficient for me.

You can't see it here, but the target, focus target and enmity list frames are also just right above the hotbars and my buff bar. The party unitframe is still in the default position, and my pet hotbar sits right above my chat window.

Hope it gives you some ideas. :D

Edit: Wow, this is a really old screenshot... I am terrible about remembering to screenshot in games (or even take photos in real life).

Oh okay sweetness! Those two screenshots actually do look very organized. I'll make sure I tinker with those first thing once I get my copy. Now I just need to know a better way of targeting mobs and even my own party members if needed. xD
