  1. This is the one I use, for similar reasons as above.
  2. Its good to see the Blue Skies up and running again. I don't suppose there might be a small space for a beta friend?
  3. I find it amusing that its the keepers that reply first, I too plan on making a pootential contact soon now that I am based in ul'dah.
  4. Khaze'to blinked, his brow furrowed as the door opened abruptly and a Hyur walked in, mouth moving in greeting, The Hyur stopped suddenly when he saw that the room was occupied. Close on his heals a tall woman, a Roegadyn by her stature stepped through the doorway as J'ruzho slipped past and out into the city. Three people in one day? The League had never received such interest in Gridania. It would seem that Ul'dah would indeed live up to its reputation as a bustling metropolis. Khaze'to thought to himself as he took in the new comers, He pushed his chair under the desk and stood resting his hands on its back, giving himself time to adjust to the Roegadyns accent. She was clutching one of the Leagues flyers he and Lainseworth had spread around the city and she clearly knew the Lalafell. He looked at the both of them as he answered her question. "This is indeed the Eorzean Hunters League. I see you found one of our flyers, what can we do for you both?"
  5. Khaze'to woke with a start as the young miqo'te he had met in the streets earlier that day spoke excitedly about his first hunt with the League. Grinning at the his misplacement of the spoils he leans to one side and looks over at the lalafell who had followed the new recruit through the door. The smell of a fresh kill quickly spoiled by the desert heat clung to the lalafell like perfume. "Master Lainseworth, I'm glad to see that the two of you were successful in your hunt." he said as the lalafell tied the sack closed again. Khaze'to stood and stretched, flexing his arms after his nap in the sun. "I believe payment is in order after your endeavor." Reaching down to the desk he opened a draw and pulled out a small pouch that clinked musically. "Here is the standard commission for a successful hunt. Plus a little extra for signing up with the League." The older Miqo'te gently threw the pouch to J'ruzho. "You will be contacted when we have a job suitable for you. If you would leave us I would discuss things my friend there." Khaze'to said nodding towards the lalafell.
  6. The Eorzean Hunters League is still alive and kicking, Join us on a hunt one day if you like?
  7. The noise and smells of the trade city floated through the window on the light breeze, every gust of air moving the light cotton curtains gently, the light and shadows shifting slowly over the rooms interior. A small desk and stool was pushed into the corner of the room, made perhaps for a Lalafell. Shelves were arrayed along one wall, filled with books and scrolls, labeled in a neat hand. A number of hunting trophies were set in cases behind a larger desk against the back wall including a pair of large curved horns, some four to six fulms across, the tentacle of some large creature with glistening skin and a selection of large teeth, easily eight ilms long. An enormous double edged sword was hung against the wall, its blade pitted and scarred with age. Under the window was a weapons rack on which rested a long spear and a recurved bow. The only sounds in the room issued from the figure sat at the large desk that held court to this odd collection. He was reclining in the chair, breathing softly as he dozed in the warm sunlight that played across his grey skin. Papers lay unread upon the desk and a carved wooden mask rested on a small stand currently being used as a paperweight. His ears, which identified him as a Miqo'te twitched as a knock at the door roused him from his dreaming.
  8. In the dusty streets and fine establishments of Ul'dah posters appear over night, marking a new organisation looking to make its name in the city. At the head of each poster is a symbol, a woodcut Morbol with lances arrayed behind it on a brown shield, underneath it the words: Attention all Hunters, Trackers and seekers of glory. the Eorzean Hunters League is moving their Headquarters from the lush forest city of Gridania to the bustling trade city of Ul'dah. We are Eorzea's Premier Monster Hunters, dealing with fiends and beasts to dangerous for your regular warriors. Only those who would heed the call of the hunt can truly know the joys of well tracked prey and the thrill of the chase. If you wish to make a name for your self and earn a fair bit of coin on the side then seek us out at our temporary office along the Emerald Avenue. Khaze'to Zhwan, League Master Penned by Lainseworth Ravencraft
  9. I am indeed the leader of a small keeper family, 2/3 members play EU times and the other US player is a warrior of light and missing to the family. The newspaper thing could be interesting. Would like to see how that develops.
  10. Heya, Im not meaning to be picky but your keeper has a seekers name, was he raised by seekers or somthing.
  11. Can't let you ladies have all the fun, Here is one of Khaze'to modeling the latest fashions in Costa del Sol. (yes I know that there are guys in the thread but it just rolled of the tongue.)
  12. Thats not quite correct, yes thats the bards outfit but through the story you prove to be a powerful ally you are not a 1.0 adventurer with amnesia, strictly speaking of course you can RP what ever you want. You are a newcomer to the city in the story and eventually reach the same status but thats it, no amnesia or anything like that. Legacy players got their own cut scene explaining what happened to them during/after the time skip. That would be Louisoix, already mentioned in Siobhains post
  13. Your RP was fine, we were interrupted a little rudely by your sister is all We shall continue at a later date.
  14. ...!!! This is terrible, I hope they'll fix that! In the meanwhile, retainers will take care of them, I guess. I always love getting vanity items, so I took many screens. This is the only time I enjoy summer and even a beach: inside a game. Clover Damn Clover looking good, loving the hat with it.
  15. That sounds awesome, make sure you have read the wiki. Im sure we can slot you in.
  16. Oh dear. Your character and mine might have an issue ._. He only "Poached" by strict Gridanian rules, as a tribal miqo'te living in the Twelveswood he had to hunt, His family respect the elementals and leave peace offerings after hunts but are still seen as poachers. How else are the tribes to survive? Hes also the leader of the Eorzean Hunters League.
  17. Khaze'to would be interested to follow and listen as some one who "poached" in the twelveswood whilst keeping the elementals happy.
  18. I may be able to attend but with it being so late possibly not, question about the formal ware, do military uniforms count (i.e. dress uniform if you are an officer), I'm not rping an officer, just lore gathering. What gears makes for good civilian formal ware, and where can you get it. Also still need a reason to turn up IC, Khaze'to has lived in gridania for about 3-4 years now but I don't have any rp connections to drag him along. Hes a country hunter moved to the city recently. Can't dance and would not turn up alone. Also I find it slightly amusing the Idea of wearing a more revealing mask to hide who he is as he wears his mask most of the time anyway.
  19. What time zone do you play in? The Eorzean Union is a Europen FC thatis unlinked to any LS. Its an OOC end game FC However we play EU times bleeding into early US afternoon, evening. Our players all get our RP in LS.
  20. If you want to play as your character with your background that's fine, not a problem but we have set up tribal rules for our branch of the family and yours don't (from what you have said) align with ours completely. Hence the differences and such. The fact that he could just wonder back into being a Nunh after being away is one. Another is that you are finding females from outside of the tribe. In ours thats a huge taboo. look here for the tribal wiki. Im not saying that yours is a monsteror anything or that the values are wildly different.
  21. Oh different branches as cousins are defiantly how we are playing it. so yeah shared culture and history. I guess where people are slipping up is that tribe can mean both the overall tribe of who knows how many Hipparion and one particular family group. Now if you mean differences between members of the same family group, sure but they will be to a lesser extent than those between other family groups of Hipparion and again smaller still when talking about miqo'te as a whole. We are a family of Miqo'te who are descended from the root Hipparion Tribe who are Sunseekers. Mr Bears Nunh is just from another family group, still the Hipparion Tribe, just a different branch with from the sounds of it different values.
  22. Erm another branch is the same thing as a different section of the tribe, still teh K tribe but in a different family grouping of it. If you start saying you represent all ways of the tribe people are not going to be very happy. I also never suggested that the particular branch you come from is dishonourable just that their might be branches that are. Of course if to different branches come together they might not share all the same values as each other. It doesn't mean that they are not the same tribe but it would cause strife. For instance if you came along and introduced yourself as a Nunh in your current state as an adventurer this particular portion of the tribe would likely laugh in your face asking where you keep your females (IC of course, we welcome the rp and new friends on the server ooc)
  23. Just a quick update, I shall be working to get a LS page up and running tonight when I get back from work, we have an awesome symbol for the league thanks to C'io and their sister. Once people can log on more reliably we can start getting this off the ground but for now with it being hit and miss I've been reluctant to throw myself into it when I'm not sure I'll be able to get into game. Also Kari informed me that there apparently is a trappers league all ready in game referenced by a quest or fate. Now I would probably consider the trappers league to be more game hunting for food and perhaps the two groups might overlap with the Hunters league being more about the giant monsters and threats and challenges that the world holds.
  24. Erm in our tribe at least (one small portion of the K tribe, others might be less honourable) the females would refuse to mate with him and the tribe would boot him out quite quickly if he if went as far downhill as you say, with the ratio of males to females there are going to be quite a number of very capable females who are able to stand their ground, specially with numbers on their side. Not to mention any Tia (not Kia) who wish to throw him to the ground. Also we would be quite happy to RP with you as a member of another branch, just be prepared for tribal differences to cause conflict, however it would be nice to see the different side of things. Quick question through, how are you dealing with the fact that a Nunh that leaves the tribal area and his females to go adventuring probably won't stay Nunh for long?
  25. I wish I had been there but sadly Im still only a lowbie with one level 31, also 1017 gahh Congrats to being the first to die. How was it?
