Returning: Need help getting reacquainted with the game

Hey all,

 

I was around from FFXIV:ARR launch day for about 3 months and am returning now. And I've kind of forgotten my rotation for paladin =/ any pointers for what currently is best? Also, anything important that I've missed? significant changes to dungeon reward system, etc? I know pvp and housing and all that was added, but I'm more concerned with just re-learning things.

Rage of Halone combo x50 for single target.

 

Press flash/Circle of Skorn for the aggros on aoe fights.  Rotate targets every now and then with Rage of Halone combo to keep up threat on the other mobs.

 

Yes I'm serious.

 

Only other thing I can think about is that roulette is a gil mine, and there is no reason not to participate in those if you are the needed role.

 

Edit: Eventually, you'll generate enough threat to where using shield swipe won't lose aggro. This is around 600 TP or so. Go ahead and use that every chance you get, since that conserves TP extremely well.

I'm pretty much in the same boat save for I didn't play since 1.0. Decided to just roll a fresh character because wtf. I'll just use the older one when I get a grasp of things again, if that ever happens. Until then I can hide under the noob banner. Or something.
