Next Event:

Date: June 14th

Time: 6pm PST (9pm EST)

Location: Costa del Sol, Eastern La Noscea

 

 

I held one without putting up a thread, as I saw no real use. It was a test-run, more like, to see how the whole thing would go and what kinks would need to be worked out. Since it's such an informal event, the structure was nonexistent and that was a little troublesome when wanting to get people gathered to socialize. However, I found it fun and fluid as people were able to come and go as they wished.

 

I met a lot of really great people this way and had a lot of fun. So, since the first time went along with relative success I figured I would do it at least once more. I thought I'd put up a thread here because, while the idea is minimal and therefor rather hard to improve upon, it'd be nice to hear anyone else's thoughts if they have them. Locations? Events? Games? It could all be added to an expanded on if the desire for more beach nights becomes apparent.

 

Mostly, as a final and most important point, I wanted to post this as a thank you. Everyone that I met at the beach night -and subsequently at Xenedra's Soliloquy tavern night - were wonderfully kind. I'd like an excuse to meet you all again, RP with those I should have more, and have fun. It was a great experience I look forward to trying to replicate. Thank you, and I look forward to our next one on June 14th.

[align=justify]Dhemgeim beach party! I am sorry that I missed it as well as the Soliloquy Tavern Night, but all Dhem has to do is say 'hey be here you purple cat!' and Demi would of course show up. As far as events and games go, maybe things like an Eorzean version of volleyball Top Gun style with dice rolling to determine the winners? xD

 

I'm bad at this after 6 am, lol, I need caffeine clearly. :sleepy:[/align]

Okay first off. This has like a million more replies than I thought. I love you all, and thank you.

I can try to gather up some cool prizes, too. More than just RP prizes but something people could actually want? We could do things like... Lalafell Tossing or something. (Or volleyball. Volleyball works too.)

I will try to make it if I can. I have a wedding to go to that day, and I'm not sure when or what state I will come home in.

The beach event was amazing! I loved that so many people participated in the riddle game, too. 

 

I don't think I have anything happening on June 14th, so I'll be sure to be there! I'll even try to bring some buddies of mine. c:

You know. The riddle event was a LOT of fun. I would like to see it happening. As well as more story telling. I'd love to see you again, Menelwen! Bring as many friends as you want!

Hornet had a great time while she was there!  She will definately be there for the next one!

The first one was fun, probably more so since it was impromptu.

You better have more than just shark to eat this time though ;)

Actually this next one I'll be trying a different venue! Costa del Sol! It usually rains more there but I feel like having the presence of an actual bar can help make a different. I might be moving the event around to different beaches and places until we find something that really sticks. Of course, this is all negotiable considering I'm making the events for you guys.

 

However! More to the point! It'll be wonderfully fun to tease Lady Coatleque again.

A sports competition that's like sparing but with dice sounds like a fun idea. Four people should be able to do it easily enough 2vs2.

Yeah! I kind of like that! Like volleyball or maybe even like a sillier version of football? Some spots activities could be good, and dice would keep everything fair. Good idea!

Ahahaha, lalafell tossing... I guess Chuch better steer clear of Tau at that party, lol! That or him encouraging lalafell wrestling again would be awesome, Demi (and I) still think that was great. xD[/align]
