Zemann Posted October 7, 2010 Share #1 Posted October 7, 2010 Okay, so once again when I try to find out how to do something, it just doesn't seem to be available. How do I take an in-game screen shot? I haven't tried to do it yet, but is it like, the "Prnt Scrn" key? Or do I have to make the HUD disappear and THEN hit prnt scrn like in FFXI? When brings me to the next question...how to get rid of the HUD if that is the case. I just need a picture of my avatar! Why do things need to be so obscure! T_T Link to comment
Satisiun Posted October 7, 2010 Share #2 Posted October 7, 2010 1) Hold down "Scroll Lock". 2) Click "Print Screen" (while still holding down "Scroll Lock"). 3) ??? 4) PROFIT!!! Link to comment
Chveya Posted October 7, 2010 Share #3 Posted October 7, 2010 Sati's instructions are good for removing the HUD for you. If you're not using a program to save your screenshots, you'll then need to open something like photoshop, GIMP or Paint, and paste (ctrl+v) the picture into it. Alternately, you can download FRAPS (it has a small, free version) and tell it to save all your screenshots to a certain folder, and save yourself a lot of annoying trouble. Link to comment

I bought a full license last year, and while it was pricy to begin with, it's paid off completely. I use it to make high-quality screenshots for my site. Link to comment
Nira Muzyka Posted October 7, 2010 Share #5 Posted October 7, 2010 Actually, if you are taking pictures with the Scroll Lock + Print Screen, FFXIV saves them for you, it puts them in C:\Users\\Documents\My Games\FINAL FANTASY XIV\screenshots Link to comment
