Ladies and gents, the Rum 'n Rumble in Mist Ward 5, plot 20 is about to undergo a grand reopening with new events open to all comers until our totally cool little bar is completely full!

 

Adopting the moniker after becoming a haven for privateer, lowlifes, and scoundrels who enjoy a strong drink and a good brawl, the RnR has become the 'home office' of the crew of the good ship Adamant when not at sea, as well as a growing rumor-mill.

 

Originally, the bar was the base of operations the Night Blades Free Company. After moving to a much larger headquarters, however, the old house was remodeled into a watering hole in order for the Blades to keep an ear to the ground in their home City-State as well as earn some extra coin in the bargain.

 

As a direct result of having such rowdy clientele during shore leave, a fighting pit was installed in the basement and a rule set in stone: Anyone who fights in the bar outside of the pit is a target, and anyone who lays the target out gets free drinks (after damages).

 

At the moment, the bar is being run by Interim Manager Solomon LaGuerre, a Wildwood Elezen of Ishgardian stock and a lifelong mercenary. Solomon views the bar as a vacation, and can often be seen behind the bar proper with a drink in hand or about in Mist, practicing with some manner of blade or simply enjoying the warmth and sunshine. His casual attitude is largely why the bar is undergoing so many current types of events. The man is just trying out anything and seeing what works.

 

While the roll system for the Rum 'n Rumble is being tested, I'd love to hear your feedback on the current set of ideas for events in the bar, as well as whether or not anyone feels the desire to have the RnR as a venue for their own events.
