[align=center]t first sight, this Free Company seems naught but a simple group of deep pocketed Entrepeneurs, Dandys and other likeminded partisans, funded with profit alone in mind. The general public knows them as tradesmen, often times in the company of helpful students and assistants. Indeed, many would call them almost noble figures, known to trade fairly, justly, and follow principles that most merchants would consider quite noteworthy. Underneath however, rests a far more grim, and enticing reality. Indeed, those that consider themselves savvy in the trades of the Underworld shudder at the mention of it alone.. The mention of the Free Company known as ;

 

 

 

Funded and founded several years prior to our current time, the Lucre Commerancy owes it's name to the few Libertines that chose to pool their resources, political acumen and leverage against some of the mightiest figures in Eorzea into one Network to ensure that their will would be contested by no state, no law, and certainly no morals. Considering only it's own laws as binding, the Lucre Commerancy exists in a twilight between being one of the most unlawful organization in Eorzea, spanning over the three City States, and at the same time can call itself one of the most well established, and hidden-in-plain-sight organizations out there. This, is mostly owned to the fact that the founding Libertines seem to ensure each time, that all monarchs, royals, or other important political figures end up either indebted, or otherwise bound to them, thus ensuring their silent acceptance. The few that are chosen and indoctrinated into the Commerancy find themselves surrounded by wealth, lust and all other things a man, or woman, may desire, and the further one reaches towards the top, the deeper the depravities and secrets run. From simple extortion, to elaborate debt schemes, down to right-out assassinations and funding of wars for profit and slavery, the Commerancy is a world of it's own, governed by laws of it's own. Those that are on the right side of it cherish their lavish and luxurious lifes they are enabled towards. Those indebted to it find themselves often in it for life, to serve it's needs and causes, never to taste true freedom again. After all..

OOC Notes

 

Well, there we go! That was the little introduction towards the Commerancy and it's little background history. Now onto the OOC part.

 

The Commerancy as such is basically an 'Libertine/Immoral' Organization in which profit and the wealth of those that call themselves members of it are of highest importance. As the introduction may've hinted at, there's various spots to be filled, various characters able to join, on any side of the spectrum.
