On a flyer posted on the board is a crudely drawn map of Ul'dah drawn in something that looks like crayon. An arrow pointed to the Gold Court. At the bottom the scrawl continued, with the tagline "We never turn down a job!"

 

Heading to the Gold Court, one could find a smiling Midlander with scruffy hair seated on the platform and gazing at the fountain, humming to himself behind a sign welcoming any visitors to the "Wings of the Sandsea temp. HQ." The man would stand up and give a quick bow to anyone who came to visit. "Looking to work, neh? Or d'you need a job done?"

The Wings of the Sandsea, more informally known as the Eorzean Happiness Comittee, is an FC I'm trying to get off the ground. It will be a bit more of a casual RP FC, definitely not for those who take themselves too seriously! I'm looking for founding members at the moment, having a grand total of... zero.

 

The main concept behind the FC is a business where one can go to get any job done, whether it's just a small errand or a grandiose escort mission. No job will be turned down; as the name implies anything and everything will be done to help out those that need it. For a fee, of course!

 

I'm also using this to advertise for any work that anyone would like done IC; even as a one-man band, Jezune will do whatever he can to get your work done!

I'm definitely interested in something casual, since I won't be able to be online all the time (I have university work and 2 other ff characters as well as non-ffxiv hobbies). I'd like to hear more about this fc, and I can give you details of my character as well if you want. Currently, she's only lvl 11 GLD but I'm trying to rush her to the point where she can travel freely. I think I'm going to make her join the twin adders, so this fc would also be a great reason to have her still spend time in Ul'dah.

Of course! Whatever experience you've got is awesome, I'm sure it'll be simple enough to get you up to speed if you wanted, haha.

 

As to more about the company, did you have any specific questions? At its core it is a venture Jezune founded with good intentions, with the "betterment of eorzea" (in less lofty terms, but I can't think of them right now!) in mind. He's genuinely trying to help, while making a bit of girl on the side, of course. In general he'll be averse to doing anything shady, and he absolutely won't kill, but one could probably twist his arm by playing off of the slogan. He's a bit dim.

 

OoC there won't really be any attendance requirements, but obviously it'll be hard to be a big character in the group without being at the rp, haha.

well, I was wondering- do all members have to share the same alignment? Synglona is in general a good person, likes to help people and such, but she really doesn't take any stock in the law besides noting the potential consequences of breaking it, and as a tool to deter the real nasty stuff. She would probably approach this fc assuming that the "any job" slogan referred to shady work by default, which is fine by her as long as it isn't murder, or otherwise permanently ruining people's lives.

 

And also, I was wondering how I would go about joining my character. Would I track you down an rp a recruitment scene or something?

No, no, definitely the members can have different alignments and such, and Jezune wouldn't be averse to doing illegal things as long as he approved of them. And any member who wanted to work on a job could work on it, so Jez could possibly delegate jobs to other members, and that would get resolved in that way.

 

And yeah, I can send you a tell when I'm on, and we can set up a recruitment scene!
