After the meeting with Miamoli, the Red Queen of Ul‘dah, and her trusted Captain Doran. The Adventurers set out to Vesper Bay. Here they would meet up with Captain Doran and board his vessel ‚The Duke‘ for her voyage to Limsa. The journey from Ul’dah to Vesper Bay did not go smoothly, the road proved dangerous and the group found themselves outnumbered by the desperate outcast remants of the Ul’dahn plague. The half dead victims attacked on a bridge and forced the Adventurers to cause a bloodbath amongst the sick.

Their next stop was the bathhouse in Horizon before finally reaching Vesper Bay with a minor delay. Captain Doran had been waiting for them here and after all formalities had been sorted, he showed them to his ship. It soon became apparent that the Captain was no other than R’avi Tia’s old enslaver, this put the group into a tight and uncomfortable spot. In the end they choose to keep the peace and keep R’avi out of sight for the sake of finishing their task and earn the payment promised to both Captain and group, by Miamoli.

Three days into their journey, the came face to face with the privateers of the Rose Crew. Two small and agile ships closed in on the Duke. Warning shots where given, but Captain Doran had a different plan. With the help of his Lalafellian Thaumaturges he blew up one of the persuing ships. The second was engaged in defence and thus a heated battle at sea ensued. The crew of the Duke, the Adventurers and Pirates fought valliantly. In the end numbers on both sides had been depleted, but the Pirates surrendered. Upon searching the sinking pirate ship, some captive survivors were found and brought aboard the Duke. One of them, a seeker female, chose to follow the Adventurers when they left the ship in Limsa, mainly due to the lack of other options.

Limsa welcomed them with its maritime charm and white washed buildings.
