Not hammered, desperate probably. Delegation could have worked, but he wanted to make a statement. Once he acquired the evidence he revealed his true identity. A bit of blackmail can go a long way.

It still sort of disturbs me how Saefinn looks more feminine than Maya here. :-| I swear, it's almost disturbingly natural. :-P
