Odd combination, but there it is. I'm sticking my head back into FFXIV for some more casual RP at the moment, and having gotten lucky with grabbing an apartment, I've decided to make use of it as a possible venue. My character, Aestridh Wynter, is a gunsmith by trade, though she's branching out into other sorts of gadgetry and has a solid grasp on metalwork in general. If you can get past her thick accent, she's a loud, friendly sort who's a bit awkward but is eager to know more people. Having just moved to Uld'ah from Limsa, she's working to expand her business and brighten the realm. Possible hooks: You need a gun made or repaired, doesn't matter the size. From little pea shooters to full-size cannons, Aestridh knows her way around them. You need any other equipment or gadgetry repaired or detailed on a budget. If she doesn't know how to fix something, she'll try her damnedest to find out and get it done. You want a tattoo. Aestridh's always had a bit of a knack for drawing (see above for metal detailing) and has an interest in tattoos, sporting a number of them herself. You may have heard of her in this regard. You're a goody-two-shoes who heard of her work through other goody-goodies because of her goodly nature in offering discounts to upstanding folk who beat up evil (if you're a shady type and she knows it, she's probably not going to take work from you). You are likewise extremely tall and want to brofist with someone else who looks down on all the ants. What I am NOT looking for: Shady dealings, anything that involves the overuse of the word 'syndicate', evil types, moogles, edgelords, people who don't like cheese. That's about all I can think to say on this. She's not terribly deep or complicated. What you see is more or less what you get. Thanks for the tips and the welcomes. Very helpful for this un- I mean me. Hopefully I can stop swaying back and forth on what I want to do with my character sooner rather than later so I can stop thinking about this in hypotheticals.

Still shaping my character (relatively new to the game) but I always love ink and piercings for my characters! Definitely interested if you're still about.

I took the test at registration, so I'm sure. Hi-ho. I never do introductions on RP forums, but because this site isn't connected to Enjin like every other MMO RP community I've ever joined, I thought it might be a good idea to attempt to adjust my social programming for once. I mean, be more social. I'm not a robot. As a non-robot, I've had a lot of experience with RP. I've RPed for about ten years, starting on various forums, and afterwards spent about two years in SWTOR and another two spent off-and-on in ESO. I bought FFXIV about maybe a month and a half ago. Funny thing is, I did the trial quite a long time ago and didn't like it at all. But it was on sale so I decided to grab it and see if I couldn't make it work in the free month I had. Turned out I did like it, but that Lancer was not a good first-choice of class. Found it way too slow. So, I've been pushing on ahead with story missions for the most part and just made it to Ishgard. I'm curious to poke around and observe now that I have a better feel for the lore (just got a transfer to Balmung today, and still want to do more research before I commit to anything). But am curious, where does the RP happen typically? I've heard this community is pretty huge. Also, what's the typical procedure for alts? Obviously it takes a big time investment to be able to access everywhere. Do people tend to bother much with alts? I'm just curious as I tend to have ideas for multiple characters hammer me at once. Probably just sticking with one for now, personally. Anyway, hi. Still not a robot.
