Ok so I may e going about this too hastily or possibly wrong and feel free to let me know so but I want to go ahead and put this idea out there anyway for anyone who might feel interested in working with it in some way.
My character's name is Erebus Malice. He's a dark-furred Miqo'te of the Keepers of the Moon.
His name is rater odd overall and most certainly doesn't fit the usual name scheme for the Miqo'te but that explanation will come in fairly quickly. He was born into a particularly large family with a total of 7 children counting him. His father was a powerful fighter who had been in involved and survived many a battle including the Calamity only with the help of his mother who was a talented healer. With such a combination his family was expected to breed a fine line of warriors. However neither him nor many of his siblings had any initial interest in battle. So instead only the eldest three of the family's children were made to take up battle with the others left to do as they so desired. Unfortunately Erebus was the third born preceded only by his older brothers by 1 and 3 years. Erebus and his two older brothers were put through a rigorous life of training from age 7. However through the time of his training Erebus was adamantly rebellious. His father, while a strong man and labeled a hero among his peers, became detestably steeped in his ego and it began to rub off on his siblings. This brought the family from a place of respect to a place in sights of many who would see them with eyes full of hatred and envy. Erebus made a conscious effort to go against how his family began to behave. This led him to take many a beating from his peers in place of his younger siblings. After 5 years of tolerance, Erebus finally left casting aside his name and lineage to lead a separate life in spite of how his family chose to live.
For the first 4 years on his own he simply polished his skills with a knife as a rogue (self taught but not unaware of the rogues guild) and from age 16 to 18 he simply made his way through thievery and bounty hunting but he eventually became tired of seeing the sights of hatred he recognized from childhood. He had planned to sink into some hole and vanish but after some choice encounters joined an organization bent on bringing down corrupt merchant circuits and other higher ups abusing their power, hoping to eventually cross paths with his father. However the organization went under when it was betrayed by the man who originally orchestrated it on a major assassination. Erebus, at the time 22 years old, managed to slip out easily with his skills in stealth.
Current Status:
It's been 2 years since the organization Erebus worked with was scattered by betrayal. He now simply masquerades as a gear supplier of anything with his skill range (which is slow ever increasing) and uses his skills from his past to procure the materials to make said gear. He stays in and out of inns when he can so he can be found roaming the three major cities fairly frequently however his real agenda is a much more than just his simple life.
This is where I leave room for expansion. I have plenty of ideas to fit past here however I left this and some other spots above open or ambiguous to leave room for collaboration where possible or I foresaw it being likely to stem from. And since I realized I missed this point: Erebus the name given to him by an old barkeep who gave him a solid place to stay at age 13. The old man was killed however by bandits and Erebus hunted the ragtag group down and dispatched them easily. The ring leader made a remark about Erebus soul being riddled with malice in an attempt to have him join them (which obviously failed). He held on to that statement and made his name complete with it. Thus caring the name Erebus Malice from then on. I know this is a lot and probably all sorts of out of format but it's just my first shot at throwing out my ideas. I'd love feedback and if anyone is in any way interested in mixing in a moody and somewhat dark support character with his own side agenda feel free to send me a pm or reply here. Whatever works. I'm kinda new in the whole role play scene though it's something I've been wanting to try for ages. Curiously enough I actually had been writing up something I think might be able to fit here although I don't exactly know how to works when it comes to character stats (only reason I say this is cuz I'm only 35 on my main :cry:). My character's name is Erebus Malice. He's a Miqo'te who was previously a sellsword who had been outcast from his family when he was a child. He had despised his siblings (some older, some younger) and his father except for one but this is where I could see a perfect write in for the little sister you're looking to make. I would be more than happy to go much deeper into discussion if you're at all interested in working with what I've shared so far.
